Love Is Blind Habibi invited singles searching for their "Soulmate" from the Arab region to take part in this social experiment and find love. Asma and Khatab met via pods and got engaged.
However, following a breakup, they parted ways, but only briefly. The couple united in the real world and decided to give one more chance to love. They rejoined the engaged couples on their vacation in Dubai.

The couple was one of the three couples to walk down the altar. Asma and Khatab did not get married during the finale of Love Is Blind Habibi as Asma's parents did not join them in the wedding ceremony. The couple decided to take their journey forward in the real world and approach the relationship traditionally.
However, as the reunion unveiled, the couple is no more together after trying hard to make it work. When asked by the host Khaled Saqr about what happened between the two, Khatab replied that the couple stayed together for almost two months. But the real world, its struggles, and their demanding jobs took a toll on them.
Love Is Blind Habibi stars Asma and Khatab remain "friends" despite their breakup
Love Is Blind Habibi's couple Asma and Khatab called it quits after giving their best to make their relationship work in the real world. However, they decide to end mutually and respectfully by being friends who wish well for each other. During the reunion, the former couple opened up about their real-life struggles and why they could not stay together.
Khatab mentioned that he had a demanding job and he was clear about it since day one in the pods. He was not able to give Asma the kind of emotional support and attention that she needed. He also mentioned that for a brief period, their relationship became bitter, leading them to call it off. He also added:
"During this period we couldn't see eye-to-eye, so, we knew that it was better to be friends. Because i know how demanding my life and work is going to be in the long run."
Asma supported Khatab's answer and mentioned that she understood him as her career was equally important. She also mentioned that despite not ending up together she was happy that they could remain friends with each other.
The former Love Is Blind Habibi couple also revisited their first meeting in person and Khatab admitted that he could feel that Asma was nervous but did not know the reason. Asma called their engagement off after the reveal, which had the internet claiming that it was all about Khatab's look.
However, Asma clarified during the reunion, that she reached out to the production team after the reveal, and requested to talk to Khatab to explain why she was nervous.
After that, the couple rejoined the experiment and carried it till the finale, however, they could not get married as Asma's parents did not attend the wedding. The hosts of Love Is Blind Habibi asked Khatab about his reaction. He said:
"The thing is, when I was standing in front of you, I was 80 percent sure that she was going to say no, and I was worried she might say yes. Because she agreed without her parents it will be a problem. Because customs and traditions are very important to me. I didn't want to hurt her feelings if she said yes, by telling no."
Both Asma and Khatab wished each other well and expressed their gratitude for treating each other with respect and dignity.
