Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary shared a video clip via his Instagram account on February 26, 2025. Kevin shared his views on the recent DOGE (The Department of Government Efficiency) topic, which received quite "hate," and how individuals have been reacting to this "change."

Mr Wonderful, in the video clip, shares his views during his discussion on the Fox News. He captioned the clip with the following:

"People hate change. They hate disruption. They hate any movement from the status quo. And that's exactly what's happening everywhere. We're starting to question for the first time in a long time, how government works, what metrics we have to test its success or failure. These are uncomfortable things for people, but the majority of the population wants to see this happen."

Shark Tank mentor Kevin O'Leary in talks with Fox News: Discussion regarding people's reaction to recent "changes" in the government

As Kevin O'Leary shared in his recent discussion on Fox News, people "hate change" and "disruption." When the news correspondent asked the Shark Tank mentor to share his views on:

"Is it traumatizing to children for a boss to say what to do today at work?"

He responded that it was not traumatizing. He stated that people hate any such moment from the "status quo" and that is something that has been happening "everywhere."

"We're starting to question, for the first time in a long time, how government works, what metrics we have to test its success or failure. And these are uncomfortable things for people. But the majority of the population wants to see this happen. They've elected a leader with a majority mandate and a popular vote mandate," stated Shark Tank mentor.

Further in the discussion, he also said that while implementing "change," it often receives a lot of "friction." Kevin also stated how in the private sector, if he couldn't contact any of his employees, then after a couple of days, he would have to ask:

"Are they dead? Where are they? That's unheard of. And you can't do that. I mean, you need to communicate and you need to get the feedback. So this all started over the weekend regarding emails going out to employees."

He added that there was nothing wrong with asking what employees were doing. He has been doing that "all day" to many people. It was because he and the CEOs he works with expected a response.

The Shark Tank mentor discussed his work and mentioned how he gets various opportunities with Democrats and Republicans. As an investor, Kevin stated that he doesn't have a "choice" to be partisan in any of his investments, and as a result, he has to work with "everybody."
