The Star Wars series, Andor Season 2, will premiere on April 22, 2025, more than two years after the hit season 1. The new season will release three episodes at a time, making the whole season available to the anticipating fans in a shorter time.
Andor Season 2 episode 1, titled, One Year Later, will be available on April 22, 2025, only on Disney Plus. The episode will air at 9 p.m. ET in the US.

What happened in Andor Season 1?
Season 1 of Andor begins with Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor searching for his sister, Kerri, but ends up killing two guards who try to create problems for him. The act does not go unnoticed as he comes under the radar of a secret rebellious group and the Empire as well.
Later, in the series, Andor is sent to the Imperial Prison Complex and forced to work on building the Death Star. But they fail to keep him in as he plans an escape with Kino Loy and flees.
After rejecting the Rebellion and working with Luthen Rael, Andor, at the end of Season 1, finally decides to be of use and help in the fight against the Empire.
What to expect in Andor Season 2 Episode 1?
The new season will be an explosive one from the beginning as we see Mon Mothma trying her best to protect the Rebellion from the Empire with the help of politics, in which she even involves her family further.
It is revealed that the episode will take place one year after the events of the finale of Season 1 and will depict Andor’s and the Rebellion’s attempts to destroy the Empire. The new and final season will also bring Andor closer to his story in Rogue One due to the time jump. Diego Luna, while talking to Esquire, shared about where his character might be heading in the new season. He said:
"This second part will follow Cassian over the period of four years as he grows into the hero we see make the ultimate sacrifice in Rogue One."
