Reacher's season 3 premiered on February 20, 2025, with successive episodes dropping weekly on Amazon Prime Video. Reacher follows Jack Reacher, a former military police investigator with sharp intellect determined to fight against injustice, hopping from town to town, solving crimes. In season 3, Jack encounters Paulie, who is taller and bulkier than him, and breaks his intimidating and powerful persona.

When Olivier Richter joined the show Reacher as the most anticipated character, Paulie, he commented on the routine of Alan Ritchson, who plays Jack Reacher, and said that he is Reacher in real life as well.

Days after his comment, the actor was again asked the same question on The Tonight Show. Alan started answering by mentioning that he eats a lot, just like Reacher, and "also loves justice." He also shared an incident from his real life in which he embodied his Reacher persona. Here is what he shared.

When Alan Ritchson appeared as a guest on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, he was asked if he is like Reacher in real life as well. He stated,

"Who doesn't love justice? I am not going to wait for the clumsy, fickle system to take care of things for us. I will do it myself."

He further explained an incident from his real life when he was on a date with his wife, Catherine, at Old Montreal, when the latter noticed someone breaking into a car. The couple, after observing him for a minute, saw him running away with 4 duffle bags. That is when they sensed he was committing a crime. Despite Catherine's resistance, Alan decided to chase him down, compelling him to leave the bags and run.

"He is definitely like an Acme villain, and I need to do something about it. Catherine looked into my eye and said, 'We are on a date', I said, 'Please I have to do this'. So I took off and started chasing this dude. He took a left, I took a left and I could see him at the end of the street with a thought that I am going to hunt this dude down. "

He further explained the incident, which was no less than a movie scene,

"A point came when he was gone, and someone from way down the block yelled 'He is under the van'."

This is how Alan was able to catch him. Then the thief left the bags and started to run, but for Alan this was not the end; he wanted more.

"He is running and I am side by side with him now, I run pretty fast. I told him to not do this again. He pushed me and I lovingly... I love all people, I gently take him like a shotput, like a discus and I twirl him right into the building, and he just slides down like a cartoon character. "

After the incident, the cop informed them that he was the most notorious burglar in Old Montreal. The neighbor whose car he was breaking into thanked Alan for saving his stuff.

Alan Ritchson showed that he could take care of business just like Reacher. The audience in the show, indeed, burst into loud cheers for the actor.
