Love on the Spectrum, the reality TV show that showcases single cast members navigating their dating lives, introduced viewers to Adan and Dani. They both instantly connected and formed a strong bond; however, soon the couple realized that they were not on the same page about being physically intimate.

Dani opened up about her breakup with Adan in an April 17, 2025, TikTok video where she shared:

"I actually waited for Adan to be ready for over a year, and I would've kept waiting if I felt like there was still hope. As someone on the autism spectrum, I've learned to be direct about what matters to me. For me, intimacy doesn't require a wedding ring. It requires love, trust, and honesty. I know that not everyone agrees, and that's OK. We're allowed to have different values."

Love on the Spectrum stars Dani and Adan parted ways due to different views about physical intimacy

On Love on the Spectrum season 3, Dani and Adan decided to part ways after eighteen months of being together. This decision was made mutually when the couple realized that their opinions of being physically intimate with marriage were different. In her TikTok video, Dani emphasized that it was okay for two people to have different values and not everyone had to agree with each other.

She shared that she was waiting for Adan to "be ready" and also admitted that she might have misunderstood the conversations. The Love on the Spectrum cast member thought that Adan needed some time to be comfortable with being physically intimate. However, later he revealed that she wasn't ready to do that before marriage, as it would go against his religious values. In her conversation with Tuudm by Netflix on April 10, 2025, Dani said:

"I take responsibility for that. Later in our conversation, when he said intimacy was OK with consent and protection, I truly thought we were on the same page."

In the same interview, Adan shared his perspective on the relationship and shared how important his connection with God is to him. He talked about the impact on his spiritual well-being and how it helped him cope with the struggles in his life. The Love on the Spectrum star continued:

"For me, believing in God has been my strength, and my religious beliefs are what help me make sense of the pain that I've experienced in my life. My values have been shaped by my life and life experience."

As per the Tudum by Netflix update, Adan is still single, while Dani is currently in a relationship with Henry, whom she met at the Huntington Park Police Department. Talking about Henry, she said:

“For the first time in my life, I’m with someone who truly sees me. Not just as an animator, not just as an advocate; not just as someone on the spectrum, but as Dani. And that? That’s the best feeling in the world.”

Love on the Spectrum is available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Fans can follow Dani and Adan on their respective Instagram accounts.
