New Series on the Apple TV+ Summer Slate 2025
The Studio: This new Apple TV series that premiered March 26, 2025, follows Seth Rogan as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of a legacy Hollywood movie studio, Continental Studio. Matt is a lover of cinema at his heart, so he's looking for approval from the artists who only consider him 'one of the suits'. 4 episodes out of the 10-episode season are already available to watch on Apple TV, with a new episode all set to feature on April 16, 2025.
Murderbot: Adapted from the award-winning Martha Wells' series of the same name, Murderbot is set to premiere on May 16, 2025. The show follows a security unit robot that has hacked his interface and just wants to spend time watching his entertainment shows. This comedy sci-fi thriller follows the robot as it struggles with human interactions and concepts. Apple TV dropped a trailer for this show on April 9, 2025, featuring Swedish actor, Alexander Skarsgård as the security unit.
Your Friends and Neighbours: A hedge-fund manager finds himself in the middle of dangerous affairs and secrets hidden behind the closed doors of some of the most affluent people when he attempts to steal from them after his life falls apart. Writer and director Johnathan Trooper's show has some big names in its cast list, including Jon Hamm, Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, and Hoon Lee. Your Friends and Neighbours will debut on Apple TV+ on April 11, 2025.
Chief of War: This upcoming historical miniseries is another new show to become a part of the 2025 summer catalog for Apple TV. Chief of War is Jason Momoa's passion project, as he has co-created this with Thomas Pa'a Sibbett and also stars in it as Ka'iana, a native Hawaiian warrior who takes on the difficult task of the unification of the warring Hawaiian islands to save them from colonization.
Stick: Stick is Apple TV's new series, described as a 'golf comedy series', created by Jason Keller, along with Owen Wilson, who stars in this comedy along with being an executive producer. The logline of the show describes it as a 'heartfelt, feel-good comedy' following Pyrce Cahill, an ex-pro golfer who, after losing his marriage, and job, hedges all his bets on a 17-year-old golf star Santi, played by Peter Dager. Stick Season 1 is 10 episodes long, the first three of which will premiere on June 4, 2025, with the rest being released every Wednesday through July 23.
New Seasons on the Apple TV+ Summer Slate

Lately, there's only thing everyone is able to talk about when it comes to Apple Tv, and that is Severance. Even though the video announcement by Apple TV did feature a frame from Severance at its beginning, I hate to burst your bubble, but Severance will not be returning for a new season this summer. We need to hold on for all our answers until any further announcement.
But, here are all the shows that are returning with new seasons this summer to Apple TV
The Morning Show (Season 4): This extremely relevant satirical drama starring Reese Witherspoon as Bradley Johnson and Jennifer Aniston as Alex Levy, is coming back for another season this summer. Jeremy Irons (The Watchmen, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) will be joining the cast as Alex's father, Martin Levy. Marion Cotillard from Inception will also be joining as Celine Dumont.
Slow Horses (Season 5): A dark and humorous drama, Slow Horses will also be returning with a fifth season this summer. Additionally, the show has also been picked up for a seventh season already by Apple TV+, so fans of this show have much to look forward to. The logline of the show reads:
"A dysfunctional team of MI5 agents and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb, navigate the espionage world's smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces."
Platonic (Season 2): The show was originally released in 2023, following two estranged friends reconnecting after a long time. Seth Rogan, as Will, and Rose Byrne as Sylvia come together in this hilarious drama. A second season will be premiering on Apple TV+ in the summer of 2025.
Apple TV+ has a lot of premium and compelling dramas and comedy series on the way for its summer slate.
