The CW has officially confirmed that only three original All American cast members, Michael Evans Behling (Jordan), Greta Onieogou (Layla), and Bre-Z (Coop), have signed new contracts to return as series regulars in Season 7. This decision makes sense based on how season 6 ended.
Let’s dive into what’s changing in the new season, who’s staying, who’s leaving, and the fresh faces joining the cast.
Michael Evans Behling (Jordan), Greta Onieogou (Layla), and Bre-Z (Coop) will be the only three original main characters returning as full-time cast members in Season 7.
These characters still have plenty of stories left to tell as they step into new phases of their lives.
Cast details of All Americans
Season 7 of All American will come with major changes, particularly in the cast. Several familiar faces will no longer be series regulars, including Cody Christian, Monet Mazur, Chelsea Tavares, Samantha Logan and Karimah Westbrook,
However, they will still make guest appearances throughout the season. This is similar to what happened with Daniel Ezra (Spencer), who stepped down as a lead character but still appears in some episodes.
We do have three main characters who are returning in Season 7, like,
Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker
Jordan is a former star quarterback who has now taken a job as a coach at South Crenshaw High. He is hardworking, loyal, and always trying to prove himself, both on and off the field.
Greta Onieogou as Layla Keating
Layla is a talented music producer and businesswoman. She is strong, independent, and determined to build a successful career. Now married to Jordan, she has also inherited the Baker house from Laura.
Bre-Z as Tamia "Coop" Cooper
Coop is a passionate and determined young woman who has overcome many struggles. She once focused on a music career but has now decided to study law. She got accepted into law school at both GAU and Yale but hasn’t made her final choice yet.
To fill the gap left by the departing characters, All American is introducing two new series regulars.
Osy Ikhile as Cassius Jeremy
Cassius is the new football coach at Beverly High. He recently moved from Oakland and is determined to restore the school’s football team to its former glory. He is strict, ambitious, and not afraid to challenge South Crenshaw’s team.
Nathaniel McIntyre as Kingston Jeremy (KJ)
KJ is Cassius’ son and a talented quarterback. He has just transferred to Beverly High with dreams of making it to the NFL. His arrival will bring fresh rivalries and conflicts.
Two actors who had small roles in Season 6 have now been promoted to series regulars.
Antonio J. Bell (Khalil) – Khalil is a student at South Crenshaw, and in Season 7, his character will have a bigger impact on the story.
Alexis Chikaeze (Amina) – Amina, the daughter of Preach, will now be a main character, allowing fans to see more of her journey.
Besides the new main cast, All American is also introducing four new recurring characters. These characters won’t be regulars, but they will appear throughout Season 7.
Lauryn Hardy as Tori
The confident and competitive head cheerleader at Beverly High. She is determined to stay on top.
Terayle Hill as Marqui Edwards
Khalil’s father, a charismatic but dangerous man who could bring trouble.
Elijah M. Cooper as Yasi
The new quarterback at South Crenshaw, who might add more tension to the football rivalry.
Sasha Lance as Breonna Strong
A law school associate professor who might play an important role in Coop’s legal career.
These cast changes will make Season 7 feel like a fresh start. While some fan-favorite characters won’t be around as much, their guest appearances will keep their stories alive. At the same time, the new characters will bring fresh drama, rivalries, and challenges to the show.
