Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban faced controversy after his remarks to the female voters before the election. Referring to the comments, the billionaire investor also apologized via a Tweet on November 1, 2024.
The incident that led to Mark Cuban posting an apology started with his interview with The View on October 31, 2024. During his interview, he mentioned:
"Donald Trump. You never see him around strong, intelligent women, ever. It's just that simple."
Apologizing for that, part of the Tweet read:
"I'm not blaming anyone. We are where we are. Here is hoping that changes at least a little bit in a week. In the spirit of joy... I have to add that all the AI memes of me with the long hair crack me up. So there is a positive !"
Shark Tank's Mark Cuban apologized to female voters via a Tweet following his remarks during an interview
Shark Tank mentor Mark Cuban attended an interview with The View on October 31, 2024, where he was asked about how he was a Nikki Haley supporter, but then he supported Kamala Harris.
Responding to that, Mark Cuban criticized Trump voters, especially the female voters, and stated that Donald Trump is not seen around "strong, intelligent women."
"They're (women) intimidating to him. He doesn't like to be challenged by them, and you know Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can't have her around it. Wouldn't work," stated Mark Cuban.
Calling out Mark, Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, who also happens to be RNC co-chairperson, during her November 2, 2024, interview with Fox News, she stated:
"Apparently we are weak and stupid. I don't think so Mark Cuban. Take a look around.....If you go look at the Trump organization, the top executives and some of the people who have been with Doland Trump the longest, are women in his company. This whole idea that any of us are being called all of these names is totally ridiculous."
Trump's attorney, Alina Habba, also criticized the Shark Tank investor, as she stated:
"Mark Cuban, you can go to hell."
Following such incidents and huge backlash from female voters, the Shark Tank mentor issued an apology via a Tweet on November 1, 2024. He stated:
"When I said this during the interview, I didn't get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn't about trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former And, I set myself up for the 6 sec soundbite. No excuses. Can't nail every interview. My skin is thick enough."
Further in the Tweet, he mentioned that throughout the incident and following that, he was bothered by "comments or media" that were "in support of" or "against him." He stated that they all had "some level of insult" attached to it, everywhere.
Fans can catch Mark Cuban during Shark Tank Season 16, which is currently streaming with the latest episodes on ABC.
