What happened in Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 3 Episode 1?
In the season 3 premiere, Nikki and Mike returned from their honeymoon after spending some much-needed time together. However, the team had to get into action when five girls from Gladwyn College’s rowing team went missing during practice.
The girls, along with their coxswain, were out on a river when their coach’s boat suddenly broke down. He told them to row ahead and meet him at the dock, but they never arrived. Meanwhile, Wayne was released from prison, which allowed her to finally connect with Jason.
The MPU began investigating the rowing team's case and realized someone had planned the accident. Later, the missing girls were found being held captive in a hidden location.
Things took a surprising turn when it was revealed that the coxswain, Bella, was the daughter of an Irish mob boss, Charlie McGannon. Charlie’s former accountant, Renee Conway, had planned the attack seeking revenge on the mob boss.
Bella had secretly dropped a tracker in the water, which helped the MPU find the location where the girls were being kept. The team rescued them just in time. However, Charlie made sure that all the kidnappers were eliminated as he took justice into his own hands.
