Shark Tank investor Barbara Corcoran talks about her past life
The interview started with the Shark Tank investor on the note of her age which soon developed about her personal life and journey. Sprout asked her,
"What is a failure that you've experienced that defined your life at the time?"
This was a deep question that brought Barbara to talk about her relationship and the issues. She said,
"I met my boyfriend at a diner and he gave me the thousand dollars to start my business. So he became my business partner. And then he married my secretary seven years later, and it was a really hard hit."
Coming out of it and healing from the same, Barbar continued,
" I recovered, but it wasn't so easy."
Sprouht then asks her about the "lesson" that she had learned from that experience looking back at the situation when her boyfriend did not marry her and chose another person. Barbara replied,
"That you'll always see the upside looking back that you can't see at the moment. I mean, if he hadn't met her, I wouldn't have started The Corcoran Group. I wouldn't have had the success I have."
Then she navigated the interview to talk about how for every bad thing that happened to her, she turned it all around and changed the situation even though it felt hurtful at the moment. She continued,
"I learned that bad stuff happens that breaks your heart, but you can get up and get going again. And that's exactly what I did."
Ending the video on a motivational note, Barbara said,
And there's always a plus to any bad side of a coin, I think everything that's happened to me in my business career certainly was a result of belly flops that I turned over and saw the bright side."

When we look at situations as @barbaracorcoran does, we can know that there may be times of discomfort, confusion, loneliness...... but with perseverance, a belief in something greater than ourselves and finding joy through it all - we can look back and know that most times God may not have us where we want to be, but where He needs us to be! Thank you for sharing YOU with the world Barbara!"
"You’ll see the upside looking back but you can’t see it in the moment. 🔥 Oh so true."
