Agatha All Along is just a few episodes away from a witchy finale, and MCU enthusiasts hope to learn what exactly happened to Agatha Harkness' son Nicholas Scratch. Before we dive into the titular witch's son and his possible fate in Agatha All Along, here's a brief about the warlock in the Marvel comic:

Like his mother, Nicholas Scratch is one of the most complex and demonic characters in the superhero universe. The character debuted in 1977’s Fantastic Four #185 and soon became an enemy to the Avengers.

Scratch summons his powers through an object called Satan Staff, which links him to the demon. Interestingly, Nicholas turned against his mother in the comics after she abandoned her coven for the mortal world.

Whereas in Agatha All Along episode 3, Jennifer warns Teen about the titular witch and reveals that Agatha "traded her own child for the Book of the Damned" which is the Darkhold. If you remember, Agatha's heart ached in the premiere after she glanced into a child's bedroom which had Nicholas' belongings, and now we know why she felt that way.

Could this mean Agatha's son met a tragic end in the Disney+ series? Read more to explore Nicholas Scratch's fate mysterious fate.

The fifth episode was filled with twists and turns as the witches began with Agatha's trial at the Witches' Road and even faced off the Salem's Seven Coven. As the trial began, the witches entered the 1980s and were tasked with using the Ouija Board and communicate with the dead.

Agatha's coven began spirit summoning and ended up calling the titular witch's mother. Evanora Harkness took over Agatha's body and initiated attacks on her coven. Following the danger, Alice jumped in and directed powers at Agatha to save her.

Alice succeeds in getting rid of Evanora's spirit, but Agatha doesn't stop stealing her powers until a baby's voice comes out of the Ouija Board. This is when we hear Nicholas Scratch's voice exclaiming "Stop, Mommy" with his name written on the board.

Since the task was to summon the spirit of the dead from the Ouija Board, this hints that Nicholas Scratch is dead in Agatha All Along. Additionally, this wasn't the only hint in the series, as we saw Rio Vidal telling Agatha "That boy is not yours", referring to Teen.

This also aligns with the theory that Rio is Lady Death, as she mentioned doing her job in a way that pained someone she loved, possibly Agatha in episode 4. When Nicholas died, Rio might have taken him away, hurting her then-girlfriend Agatha Harkness.

As mentioned earlier, Agatha All Along episode 5, titled Darkest Hour/Wake Thy Power finally revealed Teen as Wanda's son Billy Maximoff. This revelation comes at the end of the episode when Agatha and Teen are conflicted over Alice's unexpected death, with the titular witch comparing Teen with Wanda Maimoff.

Her comments prove that Agatha identified Teen's identity during the trials, and kept it a secret until she gathered enough clues, like one from Rio Vidal. Agatha is well aware of her nemesis' traits and she might have seen them in Teen and discovered that he's indeed Billy.

Currently, Agatha Harkness is on a quest to regain her powers after losing them at the end of WandaVision. As she continues her trial at the Witches' Road, it keeps reminding her of Nicholas Scratch or the sacrifice she made to get her hands on Darkhold.

The titular witch might have to confront her past decisions, and if regains her powers, Agatha might wish to bring her son back. Even if he's dead, the witch might have enough power to bring him back to life. This might also allow Agatha to rethink her actions and evolve after the trials.

However, there's no confirmation if Nicholas Scratch will appear in the spin-off series. Moreover, Marvel didn't share any news about casting an actor for the role, which makes his fate again a mystery in the MCU.
