Agatha All Along: How Agatha’s powers compare to Marvel’s magicians like Wanda, Magik, and more

1) Wanda Maximoff

It’s no surprise that Wanda Maximoff tops the list. She is the most powerful character with magical abilities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Wanda can manipulate reality, create intricate illusions, and bend universes to her will.

She became even more powerful after the events of WandaVision. Moreover, the fact that she has a chapter in the Darkhold speaks volumes about her strength. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we see her overpower even the Sorcerer Supreme.

Wanda has defeated several characters, including Captain Marvel and Professor X, which cannot be overlooked. Additionally, the prophecy states that the Scarlet Witch will destroy the world, further highlighting her immense power.

2) Loki

The God of Mischief, Loki, is one of the most powerful characters with magical abilities at his disposal. He can shapeshift, control minds, and create illusions. He outranks most of the strongest characters in the MCU who know how to use magic.

In the comics, he is also the God of Stories, which means he could do anything he wanted in an instant. God of Stories is an entity who holds together the timelines of the universe.

Loki has fought some of the strongest characters in the MCU and emerged as a winner. In fact, his brother Thor, who is considered one of the strongest Avengers, has faced defeat at the hands of Loki. Moreover, considering the fact that he is a God, his powers are divine. Hence, Loki is not just the master of trickery, he is much more, and so he definitely outranks Agatha in the use of magic.

3) Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange as Strange Supreme is one of the most formidable supernatual characters among the MCU magic users. The What If...? series showed us what Doctor Strange is capable of. He can manipulate time, is a master of mystic arts, influence things and do so much more.

He consumed many mystical beings to become one of the most powerful in the multiverse. While Agatha has a deep understanding of dark magic, Strange’s abilities put him ahead of her.

4) Agatha Harkness

Agatha Harkness is a powerful witch who specializes in dark magic. She is the central focus of Agatha All Along. She comes off as dangerous because of her ability to drain magical powers from others.

In WandaVision, she nearly defeats Wanda by draining her magic and manipulating her grief, proving her strength. Surviving a battle with the Scarlet Witch is no small feat, but Agatha's skills primarily lie in manipulation and trickery.

However, we have yet to see her full potential, and Agatha All Along may reveal just how powerful she truly is.

5) Wong

It was Wong who replaced Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme when Doctor Strange disappeared in Avengers: Infinity War. This gave him the power to be unmatched. He arguably became one of the strongest magic users in the entire universe.

However, he was never shown to be as powerful as Doctor Strange. But in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, he led Kamar-Taj against Wanda Maximoff. So, he stood against one of the most powerful witches and proved that he is not to be taken lightly when it comes to the world of magic.

He has held his ground many other times against several enemies. Wong’s abilities, bravery, coupled with his deep knowledge of mystical arts and his role as a protector make him a strong magic expert.

6) The Ancient One

The Ancient One is the one who served as the ultimate guide to Doctor Strange. She was the most powerful sorcerer when magic was first introduced to the MCU. She was the leader of Kamar-Taj and trained others in the Mystic Arts.

She could easily tap into the Dark Dimension without having to succumb to its power. Her character is more of a mentor than a powerful hero, but her wisdom and ability is unmatched. As her name suggests, she is old and has been around for ages. However, she could not find someone who could replace her.

She saw this potential in Strange and guided him into becoming a powerful sorcerer. When we consider experience and control of magic powers, Agatha does not come close to the Ancient One. But since she is no more, there is a possibility for Agatha's dark magic to grow in the future.

7) Baron Mordo

Baron Mordo is another sorcerer from Kamar-Taj. He is a powerful character who was the main caretaker of Doctor Strange. Though powerful, he still is weaker than the other magic users in the MCU.

Yet, he is trained in mystic arts and so if his powers grow or are explored even more, he has the potential to match Agatha. This is also in some way indicated in the post-credit scene of Doctor Strange where he becomes a villain.

8) Magik

Though Magik technically doesn't belong to the MCU, she is still a crucial magic user in Marvel. Portrayed by Anya Taylor-Joy in The New Mutants, Magik or Ilyana Rasputin can summon weapons and armor to help her using her magical powers.

Her Eldritch armor makes her a powerful combatant. It gives her superhuman strength. She can also travel through time and teleport with the help of psionic disks which she can conjure up with her powers.

However, Magik, while strong, doesn't hold a candle to the likes of Wanda, Loki, or Strange in terms of pure magical prowess. Agatha, with her dark magic skills, would likely give Magik a run for her money in battle.
