Recap of Episode 5 of Agatha All Along

Episode 5, Darkest House, Wake Thy Power, brought many revelations. It also unraveled the biggest mystery of the series so far. Apart from her past, the series has been teasing the real identity of the teenager on the witches' road with that of Agatha Harkness.

The fanboy, Joe Locke, gets to use his powers for the first time in the latest episode. Previously, the show had established that the teenager had a powerful spell, or sigil, which masked his identity from all the witches.

This time the show has revealed his identity in some way, and who Teen is. In the episode, Teen was unhappy with Agatha, whom he had considered one of his favorite witches. Her pointless and selfish behavior left him disappointed in all witches. In episode 5, Agatha teases Teen by saying that he is just like his mother. Angry and frustrated, Teen begins to use his magical powers to send Agatha into the swamp with the help of Jen and Lilia.

The powers he uses not only look like Agatha's magic, but also similar to the Scarlet Witch. But, the color from his magic is different. Teen also uses mind control like Wanda’s on Jen and Lilia in Wandavision to throw Agatha into the swamp. He then throws them both in, presumably killing all three. Teen then stares into the swamp and a dark crown appears on his head, ending the scene.

As Disney+ prepares to release Agatha All Along Episode 6 next week, the question naturally arises: What's next?

With the recent airing of the latest episode of the show, everyone now knows that Teen is Billy Kaplan, opening up the possibility of an actual future young Avenger Wiccan and also a version of Wanda's son.

This changes everything we think is going on at the moment and where the story might go next. It also leaves us with a character who is trying to figure out who she is - which is a very difficult situation for Agatha as she moves forward.

Suddenly the series seems much bigger than just The Witches' Road.

The show is currently is available to stream at Disney+.
