Disclaimer: This article contains major spoilers for Agatha All Along episode 5!

Since the premiere of Agatha All Along, fans have been waiting for Joe Locke's Marvel character to be revealed, and it didn't happen right up until episode five. The episode began with Lilia having the vision of the Salem Seven witches and alarmed her fellow coven mates. However, before they could escape, the witches showed up and the Coven had to face-off against them.

Their journey continued as a new trial arrived, and this time with more challenges and twists. In the previous episodes, when asked about Teen, Agatha always referred to him as her pet, and later Rio all but confirmed that he's not her boy. This clarified that Teen isn't Nicholas Scratch as many speculated him to be Agatha's son.

In the last trial, Alice removed the curse on her family and now it was time for another witch's trial. As the fifth episode progressed, the coven discovered that it was finally Agatha Harkness's trial, filled with darkness and evil spirits. In the final scene of Agatha All Along episode 5, Teen's actual identity finally comes to light.

Agatha All Along is reaching its finale with just four episodes left to arrive on Disney+. Following the Marvel series' premiere, most fans believed Teen's identity wouldn't be revealed until the finale. However, episode five titled Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power finally gave the answer fans have been looking for all this while.

As seen in episode 3, Sharon Davis AKA Mrs. Hart is dead, and episode 5 featured who was next in line. As the coven faced harsh challenges during Agatha's trial, we see the titular witch betraying the coven's protector: Alice Wu-Gulliver. Yes, you read it right. When Alice was trying to save Agatha from her mother's dark spirit Evanora, the witch strained her powers which led to Alice's death.

This highlights' Agatha's dark past and how her actions often lead to heartbreaking moments. Now that Alice is dead (at least for now), Jen and Lilia have to be careful during the trial.

Following Alice's tragic fate, Teen gets furious at Agatha. The witch intensified his anger after saying "You're so much like your mother" leading Teen to unleash his powers and initiate an attack on Agatha Harkness. Teen controlled Jen and Lilia's bodies and made them throw Agatha into a dark sludge.

As the titular witch gets absorbed by the sludge, Teen throws Jen and Lilia into the same sludge too. The episode ends after a magical blue energy emerges from Teen's hands similar to what fans saw in WandaVision, and a crown similar to his mother forms on his head.

So does that mean he's Wanda's son? Yes, Teen is actually Billy Maximoff, the powerful son of Wanda Maximoff, who later transforms into Wiccan, a Marvel superhero. While Teen has been confirmed as Billy, as of now, his twin brother hasn't appeared in the show yet.

When did Agatha discover Teen's identity in Agatha All Along?

When Agatha provokes Teen by comparing him with his mother, she confirms knowing about his identity. But how? There can be many ways through which Agatha might have discovered the truth, and the very first hint is obviously the Sigil on Teen.

The titular witch noticed a protection spell on Teen that only powerful magicians can cast. Following the Sigil, Agatha might have suspected him being Billy Maximoff, as Wanda would never want her son to join Agatha.

Additionally, Rio confirmed that Agatha has no direct connection with Teen, claiming that he isn't Nicholas Scratch. Agatha is also aware of Wanda's traits, which she might have noticed in Teen, confirming her suspicion that he's actually Billy Maximoff.

Did Agatha All Along episode 5 reveal Rio Vidal's identity?

Another mysterious character in Agatha Harkness is undeniably Aubrey Plaza's Rio Vidal. While Teen was speculated to be Billy Maximoff, fans believe Rio is the MCU version of Lady Death. There have been several hints like Agatha's remarks on Rio Vidal taking away bodies, and the titular witch asking Rio not to interfere when Teen was injured, hinting that she knows about her identity as well.

Moreover, Rio was nowhere to be found at the end of episode 5 when Billy almost killed Agatha, Jen, and Lilia with his powers. It might be possible she was handling Alice's spirit after her death as all her attention was on Alice when she died. These events align with Rio quite possibly being Lady Death, but this cannot possibly be confirmed until the Marvel series goes on to disclose her real identity.

Now that Teen's identity is out, and he initiated his first attack at the coven, it would be intriguing to see what happens with him in the next episode. Teen's attack might end Jen and Lilia's life, as there's no way Agatha is dying until the finale, but other witches definitely could meet their end.

Before episode five's twist, Rio and the Salem Seven were considered the leading villains in Agatha All Along. But after the recent events, it looks like Billy might pose even more dangerous threats to the titular witch.

So, do you think all of this make him the antagonist? Not really.

In the comics, Billy eventually turned into a superhero, not a villain, suggesting that he isn't the antagonist, but Agatha is. The sorceress is known for her dark past and watching her betray Alice explains that she hasn't changed much from her past ways. The series' title also hints at the fact that it’s been Agatha all along.

All five episodes of Agatha All Along are available to stream on Disney+.
