Teen's sigil in Agatha All Along explained
Agatha All Along’s enigma Teen (played by Joe Locke) has been on every viewer and MCU fan’s mind since the Disney Plus series was announced. Although fans learned a little about his powers, episode 3 dropped a major bombshell, leading to more speculation.
In episode 3, Agatha and her coven became curious about Teen’s identity, which he remained tight-lipped about. The rumored Billy Kaplan revealed he’s under a sigil—a powerful magical seal concealing his true identity. He does not know who he is; no one can find out unless it’s broken.
The first trial on The Witches Road revealed in Agatha All Along
Episode 3 marked the genesis for Agatha Harkness and her coven as they arrived at their first trail on The Witches Road in Agatha All Along. Shortly after Teen had discussed his sigil and the coven began their journey, Sharon Davis went missing!
After a quick detour to rescue her from quicksand, Agatha explicitly instructed the gang not to wander off alone (she said so with a pointed look at Sharon). Soon after, Kale pointed out a cozy abode off in the distance; they each set off in the house’s direction.
As soon as they entered, the coven experienced a dainty pastel makeover. That wasn’t the only surprise: Teen discovered the house was their first trial via an inviting envelope and beckoned the coven to read it. The riddle read:
“My age has value. I’m no fun alone. I mess with your mind. My tricks are well known…”
As if on cue, a wine bottle and five glasses suddenly appeared before Agatha and her coven. Ignoring suspicions, they each began downing their glass of wine - chaos started, especially after a timer set off when Sharon (the last person) took a shot of the alcohol. Each witch began hallucinating incidents from their past.
What happened to Agatha’s coven after drinking the wine in episode 3 of Agatha All Along?
Agatha found the entire ordeal fishy, so she chose to observe instead of going through it with others. When they weren’t looking, she emptied her glass into a plant nearby. But that didn’t guarantee her a free pass.
Despite attempts to smash her glass, crush it, or empty the wine glass, Agatha realized she had no other option but to drink it—which she did.
However, before she began to hallucinate, she and the other witches had a terrible reaction, rendering their faces swollen. Note that Teen is a minor, so he was excluded from the challenge.
While panic set in with the timer, the swelling almost immediately came down, but with a rude awakening. Each witch began hallucinating a heartbreaking memory from their past until they realized they were caught in a loop.
Kale was the first to suggest a solution about the root cause of the reaction, claiming they needed to consume the wine along with “the blood of an unpoisoned.”
Teen happily volunteered as the timer began to dangerously count down to zero, and the house slowly began to shatter. In the nick of time, the antidote was ready, and they each consumed it, making a run for dear life and completing their first trial—all except one.
Is Sharon Davis alive in Agatha All Along?
No, sadly, Sharon Davis is not alive in Agatha All Along. While concocting the antidote, the coven ensured Sharon got a drop. While figuring out their loop and devising a plan to beat the trial, they didn’t realize Sharon had passed out already.
Despite attempts to revive her using more of the antidote after they escaped with her unresponsive body, they found the antidote didn’t work for her. This could be because she wasn’t a witch or she did not have magical capabilities—like Agatha mentioned.
Which major MCU villain did episode 3 of Agatha All Along mention?
Episode 3 of Agatha All Along dropped one of the coolest Easter eggs yet about an MCU villain fans didn’t anticipate hearing this early on in the season: Mephisto. Before the glasses of wine appeared, Teen began exploring the house to look for a corkscrew to open the bottle. Kale, who’d been watching him and Agatha closely, used the opportunity to warn him about Agatha.
Kale asked Teen to remain vigilant during his interactions with Agatha since she has a cold reputation. Kale recalled rumors and sayings about Agatha’s past, mentioning how she acquired The Book of the Damned or Darkhold.
Kale claimed Agatha traded her child to get a hold of the book and discussed her child's fate. She added that perhaps her son was “an agent of Mephisto.” She cautioned Teen to be wary of Agatha and mentioned that no one would recognize Mephisto’s alleged minion if he turned up.
Episodes of Agatha All Along are now being released weekly on Disney Plus to binge.
