Agatha All Along is one of Marvel’s new spinoff series which has been greatly hyped over the last few months. The wait is nearly complete with the drop date on the horizon: September 18, 2024. The series will revolve around Agatha - a wizard until her powers were snatched by the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in WandaVision.
A powerless neonate Agatha will journey to Witches Mountain to reacquire her powers and maybe get payback. However, she won’t be alone on her treacherous path. Agatha will be joined by a band of misfits and magically-abled people united to help her. The story will reportedly lead to the current timeline in the MCU: Dr. Strange in a Multiverse of Madness.

1) Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness
Kathryn Hahn plays the devious Agatha Harkness - formerly a Westview resident and friend turned instant enemy after she destroys Wanda’s world. Agatha is a power-hungry character with a penchant for revenge against the Scarlet Witch. Olsen’s character casts a ‘chaos spell' on Agatha.
This led Agatha to revert to her initial identity - Agnes. Realization hits after her spell is broken and she no longer has powers.
Hahn’s character will navigate being without powers and function as a team for a common goal: To get her powers back. Hahn is an accomplished actress and has appeared in several blockbuster films and series: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Parks and Recreation, and The Dictator.
2) Billy Kaplan as Joe Locke
Billy Kaplan has been rumored to be Wanda’s son from WandaVision: Billy Maximoff. Locke’s character and Agatha get quite close since he’s the one who broke her spell. While the potential of his magical capabilities remains momentarily unknown, if Agatha’s let him tag along with her coven, he must be pretty jacked up with power.
Locke’s character is described as an introvert, soft-spoken, and an overall enigma. He prefers keeping to himself for the most part but becomes quickly fascinated by Agatha’s mission and decides to help her. Locke is a budding actor and last appeared in the teen drama Heartstopper.
3) Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal
Aubrey Plaza’s character was specially concocted for Agatha All Along. The green-aura witch is no noob in dark arts and can concoct strong spells useful at a time of battle. Plaza’s character was almost hand-picked by Agatha herself to aid her en route to Witches Mountain. Vidal goes by the alias Green Witch and is also close with Agatha.
Plaza has appeared in a plethora of prospective Hollywood projects over the years. Some of her projects include Parks and Recreation, The White Lotus, and Legion. Plaza has been in the acting industry for almost as long as her co-actress Hanh has.
4) Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale
Sasheer Zamata plays the amazing character Jennifer Kale - another electrifying witch (she literally conjures electric bolts) joining Agatha on her mission. In the trailer, Kale donned a mostly pink ensemble with a rose quartz necklace and flaunted some of her powers. Kale is perhaps on par with Rio Vidal concerning usefulness.
Kale can create several portals to another dimension and can enchant others with spells, trapping them. Additionally, she can also manipulate minds easily - a trait possessed by the Scarlet Witch. Sasheer Zamata is an upcoming actress with several noteworthy shows and movies. She appeared in The Mitchells vs. The Machines, Corporate, and Robbie, to name a few.
5) Debra Jo Rupp as Sharon Davis
Several cast members are reprising their roles from WandaVision and Debra Jo Rupp is one of them. Debra plays ‘Sharon Davis’ a resident of Westworld and Wanda’s neighbor. As a result of the Hex, she became popularly known as ‘Mrs. Hart.’ Initially, Davis wasn’t too fond of Wanda and her husband - something she and Agatha bonded over.
However, after the Hex is lifted, Davis is back to her kind self and empathizes with Wanda. Whether or not the same would continue is yet to be seen in Agatha All Along. Debra has made appearances in That ‘90s Show, Friends, and Better With You.
6) Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie
Emma Caufield Ford will return as Dottie in Agatha All Along. Dottie is known as ‘Sarah Proctor’ in WandaVision and is described as a social butterfly. She’d often appear in a black and white setting dressed from a vintage time. Dottie would ensure her neighbors were comfortable, welcome, and safe.
Her character's role for Agatha All Along's plot is unconfirmed. Whether or not she’d be Agatha’s friend or foe remains to be seen. Caufield appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Life Unexpected, and Once Upon a Time.
7) Patti Lupone as Lilia Calderu
Patti LuPone will join the cast of Agatha All Along as Lilia Calderu. While her exact role remains under wraps, we know from the comics that she is a 450-year-old Sicilian witch. It's not clear yet whether Lilia will be a friend or a foe to Agatha.
LuPone's acting background includes American Horror Story, Oz, and Pose.
