Agatha All Along is here to shake things up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on Disney Plus. This Marvel show directly connects to the ongoing Multiverse Saga.

Agatha All Along isn't just a standalone show. It ties in with the events from WandaVision, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and possibly even more future Marvel projects.

Marvel’s recent approach blends shows and movies into one grand narrative. Agatha All Along is no exception. Just like WandaVision and Ms. Marvel, this series expands the MCU’s magical and multiverse storyline.

So, it becomes a must-watch material for fans who want the full picture. Now, let’s get to know how Agatha All Along builds on WandaVision’s legacy, connects with Doctor Strange, and potentially opens doors to the mystical corners of the MCU.

Agatha All Along: A direct sequel to WandaVision

Firstly, Agatha All Along is a direct follow-up to WandaVision. It takes place three years after Wanda lifted the hex from Westview.

Wanda had released the town’s residents from her spell. But, Agatha Harkness was left in her own mental trap. It was a spell that kept her subdued in a seemingly harmless persona. Now, Agatha All Along shows Agatha breaking free. It shows her reclaiming the powers that Wanda had drained from her.

Wanda may even appear in this series. Well, sort of.

A mysterious corpse with red hair and Darkhold-stained fingers hints at Wanda’s tragic fate from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This keeps her presence felt without completely resurrecting her.

Meanwhile, Agatha’s grudge against Wanda remains strong. It sets up plenty of drama and tension. Especially since Vision is getting his own series, which could round out the WandaVision storyline even further.

Agatha All Along: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness connection

First off, most importantly, Marvel's latest witchy show doesn’t forget what went down in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That film saw Wanda wielding the Darkhold. She threatens to wreak havoc with it across universes.

However, when she realized the dark impact of her actions, she used her powers to destroy the Darkhold in every universe. And in that process, she sacrificed herself.

Agatha All Along references Wanda's death. It is addressed in the show in a unique way. "Herb," who is disguised as a forensics officer, mentions:

"Oh, she’s really, most sincerely dead."

This simply further confirms Wanda’s death. Thus, the possibility that Wanda might be alive, afterall, is absolutely removed. However, in true Marvel style, death isn’t exactly set in stone. Especially when it’s happening inside Agatha’s twisted hex world.

The mysterious “Teen” and a potential Young Avenger

The show also introduces a mysterious character known only as “Teen”. He is played by Joe Locke.

Marvel was being cagey about this character’s identity. It also sparked a lot of fan theories. One popular theory was that Teen is Billy Maximoff, Wanda’s son and a future Young Avenger in Marvel Comics.

In Agatha All Along Episode 5, the big reveal dropped. Teen is actually Billy, Wanda Maximoff’s very own son. This means that the show had been laying the groundwork for the Young Avengers. It is a team that Kamala Khan started to hint at in The Marvels.

The Witches' Road and expanding the magical universe

In Agatha All Along, the mystical concept of the Witches' Road is introduced. This magical plane is accessible only to witches. It expands the MCU's mystical dimensions by joining places like Doctor Strange’s Dark Dimension and the multiversal gateways.

Agatha’s journey on this road allows her to encounter other mystical characters. It’s likely that this new addition will serve as a gateway to more magical elements in future MCU projects.

Other Marvel shows like Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, and Ms. Marvel have also introduced magical and supernatural elements in some way or the other. Agatha All Along only strengthens Marvel's dive into mysticism.

Plus, Blade is on the horizon. So, it’s possible that all these supernatural threads will converge. Maybe, even become a part of a Midnight Sons adaptation down the line. Thus, it might bring together Marvel’s mystical heroes and antiheroes.
