After Harvey Specter and Louis Litt, another Suits star will appear in Suits LA (& it’s not Mike Ross)

Suits LA fans are in for a triple treat, as after Harvey Specter and Louis Litt, another Suits veteran is set to appear in the spin-off show. However, it is not going to be a main character like Mike Ross, Jessica Pearson, or Donna Paulsen.

Instead, an iconic villain is returning to the franchise, as David Costabile is reportedly joining the cast in a guest role. As per a report by Variety, David will reprise his role as Daniel Hardman in an upcoming episode of Suits LA.

Fans of the original series remember Daniel Hardman as an antagonist who had a tussle with Harvey and Jessica throughout the show. He was originally a name partner at the law firm but was removed from his position after a financial fraud.

David Costabile to reprise his role as Daniel Hardman in Suits LA

David Costabile will appear in one of the ten episodes of Suits LA; however, details of his return have not been revealed yet. It remains to be seen whether he would appear in a flashback sequence like Harvey, or be a part of the core storyline and have a connection with Ted Black.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Macht has already entered the show as Harvey Specter in episode 4 after much anticipation. At the same time, Rick Hoffman has been confirmed to appear in the show as well, playing Louis Litt.

While audiences are not excited to see a reunion between Daniel Hardman, Harvey, and Louis, NBC has not yet confirmed if they will be sharing the screen in Suits LA.

Daniel Hardman was the co-founder and name partner of Pearson Hardman who was let go of the firm when it came out that he was stealing money from the company. While he claimed he needed money for his wife’s cancer treatment, he was actually using it to fund his extra-marital affair.

David made his debut in Suits in season 2 as Daniel returned to the firm after his wife’s death. He was adamant on taking the reigns of the firm, against the wishes of Harvey and Jessica. He then proved to be a major antagonist throughout the season, as he took advantage of a lawsuit against Harvey to render him powerless.

The character then made recurring appearances in later seasons. Apart from Suits, David has also been seen in shows like Billions, Low Winter Sun, Little Birds, The Wire, and Breaking Bad.

Coming back to Suits LA, the show is focussed on Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor with a troubled past, who runs an entertainment law firm in Los Angeles. When Ted’s best friend and partner Stuart Lane betrays him and establishes a new firm taking away most of the staff, the two get into an intense competition.

Both Suits and Suits LA have been created by Aaron Korsh. The spin-off series stars Stephen Amell as Ted Black and Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, along with Lex Scott Davis as Erica Rollins and Bryan Greenberg as Rick Dodsen.

The cast also includes Troy Winbush as Kevin, Rachelle Goulding as Samantha, Maggie Grace as Amanda, Azita Ghanizada as Roslyn, Alice Lee as Leah, Kevin Weisman as Lester, and Carson A. Egan as Eddie.

Suits LA airs new episodes on NBC on Sundays.
