The episode opens with a courtroom scene involving April, awaiting the decision on her sentencing. This happened when April was already dealing with other issues in her personal and professional life, highlighting the emotional toll the trial took on her.

April's legal team was helping her understand how to present herself in court, as she had never been in a case like this before. So what exactly happened with her? Did she kill someone or engage in criminal activity? No, in fact, April was the one who should have filed a case against Tyler but got framed instead.

This goes back to a normal day when April was in the parking lot in her car, and unintentionally bumped into Tyler's vehicle. They recognized each other from the regular coffee shop, but April was completely unaware of him being a hot-headed man.

Following the incident, Tyler is aggressive and begins chasing April. This results in a dangerous car chase with April trying to escape the man. She tries calling 911 for help to no avail. The chase ends in a car accident as Tyler doesn't stop.

What made the situation worse is that Tyler accused April, instead of taking responsibility for putting April's and his own life in danger. She tried helping the driver but ended up getting arrested and blamed for the accident.

The episode then features the trial in which April gives an emotional apology for her actions and expresses love for her son Wyatt. However, her efforts couldn't prove her innocence, and the judge ordered a three-year prison sentence for April.

As the episode reaches its end, viewers experience a heartwrenching goodbye between April and Wyatt as she's being taken away from her family. Accused Season 2 episode 2 highlights how anger can lead to devastating consequences and affect someone's mental health.

April was already suffering from Wyatt's behavioral issues and tried hard to get a medical appointment for him, but he was stuck with incidents at school. Moreover, her relationship with her husband contributed to her stress, adding up to April's emotional journey.
