RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17 saw Joella leaving the runway in the latest episode, after being eliminated from the show. Joella was indeed not expecting to leave the show so quickly, but her quilted mattress dress for the challenge, Quilted for Your Pleasure runway failed to have a positive impact on the judges.

Her performance of Mariah Paris Balenciaga‘s monologue, We Write the Stories, from Season 3 could not overshine her blunder of appearing on the runway covered in a mattress from head to toe. She ended up one of the bottom two queens along with Kori King.

As the episode ended, it was clear that after unsuccessfully trying her luck at "Badonka Tank", Joella had to bid farewell to her RuPaul's Drag Race journey for now. The fans, after witnessing a dazzling line-up of performances and Joella's elimination, chimed in with their opinions on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The RuPaul's Drag Race fans had mixed reactions about Joella's elimination so soon. Some opined that it was for the good, calling her delusional, while others were saddened by the departure of the Los Angeles queen. One fan took X and posted a comment that read:

"Joella shouldn’t even been in the bottom in the first place !!! absolutely robbed #rupaulsdragrace"

Another fan called her "entertaining" and wrote:

"When i think Joella can’t get more entertaining she walks down the runway in this #DragRace"
"Joella could’ve been safe if she had a good enough runway because she ate this performance… so sad to see our LA icon known for looks and opulence go DragRace," commented another fan saddened by Joella's elimination.

Fans reactions ranged from "abysmal" to "mediocre," with a user saying it was "no surprise" that Joella was eliminated:

"Kori King easily slayed Joella in that lipsync to Buttons by The Pussycat Dolls! Joella sabotaged herself by being inside a mattress & she didn’t know most of the words! So happy that Joella finally got eliminated as she pulled the wrong lever! #DragRace" wrote another fan.
"I mean after being essentially in the bottom for three weeks in a row, it’s no surprise Joella went home when she did. It’s a good thing she brought good tv because otherwise her performance on the show was abysmal #dragrace" wrote another fan.
"Genuinely mystified for all the Joella love. She’s been so mediocre. And her runway was possibly the worst in drag race history. That’s the only thing legendary about her. #DragRace" commented a fan.

Joella's RuPaul Drag Race: Untucked speech stands in the void after she got eliminated in Episode 4

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17, Episode 4 witnessed Joella walking out of the show after her last runway performance post elimination. This was the third time that the Los Angeles queen got in the bottom two. However, she had a contrary opinion about her time on the show, during Untucked.

For those who are unversed, Untucked is a spin-off, a behind-the-scene show of Season 17 that airs on MTV. Before the elimination in Episode 3, Joella held Lucky Starzz's hand and said:

"I’m gonna be honest with you, I feel confident in the fact that I’m gonna be here next week.”

She was in the bottom two with Lucky Starzz and got saved during the lip-sync battle. Further, she had been quite audacious when talking about other queens. She put herself on a high pedestal, calling herself an "icon in local drag."

The RuPaul's Drag Race Queen said during one of the Untucked episodes:

"I feel like I’m not doing as well on this show as I wanted to, and it was one of my biggest fears: Because I feel like so many times, someone who’s considered an icon in local drag comes on this show, and then they disappoint their community.”

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17 airs every Friday on MTV.
