Later, when four teachers are suspended, Gregory does not panic. Instead, he quickly comes up with a new plan and finds people to help cover for them. While Gregory proves his worth in his new role, he remembers that he is just filling in for Ava. When she comes back, he quietly packs up his things and removes his ‘Principal Eddie’ nameplate from the office.

Janine, Barbara, Melissa, and Jacob hatch a risky plan to help Ava get her job back. Believing that it would be hard for the district to suspend all of them together, they decide to take the blame for the golf club donations.

However, the plan goes awry as the district suspends them all for a week. As the teachers attempt to explain the situation to the students, the children take matters into their own hands and lead a peaceful walkout in the hallway.

Miles, the lawyer responsible for the original bribery scandal, says he supports Ava because it is the first time his shady deals have helped kids. Even Crystal, Ava’s rival, who played a part in her dismissal, stands up for her.

From parents and community groups to local business owners, everyone vouches for Ava. Looking at the support, the board finally gives in and reinstates both Ava and the teachers.
