Tension erupted on Bravo's Married to Medicine when Dr. Gregory Lunceford and his new wife, Lateasha "Sweet Tea" Lunceford, returned home from a dramatic couples trip to Key West, Florida.

The show, which follows the lives of Atlanta's medical community and their spouses, captured a heated exchange between the newlyweds over Dr. Gregory's reaction to comments made by his ex-wife, Quad Webb. Dr. Gregory explained to his wife about storming out during the trip:

"We couldn't get in any trouble by leaving, so I just had to get up out of there,"

He declared, much to Latesha’s disagreement:

"It was just a toxic environment."

This confrontation highlighted the ongoing drama between the former and current couples on Married to Medicine, bringing to light unresolved issues from Dr. Gregory's previous marriage to Webb, whom he divorced five years ago.

What happened during the argument between Married to Medicine’s Lataesha and Dr. Gregory?

What started as a calm discussion over water quickly escalated into a heated argument. When Lateasha tried to discuss the Key West incident, Dr. Gregory expressed his frustration about Webb's comments.

"It was really annoying and embarrassing. And then when [Quad Webb] started saying all that stuff about, you know, she left me and all that,"

He shared, clearly upset by his ex-wife's claim that she "chose" to leave him.

Despite Lateasha's attempts to calm the situation, Dr. Gregory's frustration grew. The disagreement followed them upstairs, where their microphones caught every word.

"It's your fault. Don't say s--t to make me go off," Dr. Gregory told his wife.

She defended herself by saying,

"I'm entitled to my opinion, Gregory."

This episode of Married to Medicine highlighted how past relationships continue to affect current ones. While Dr. Gregory navigates his new marriage with Lateasha, whom he wed in April 2023, Webb has moved on with her new boyfriend, King. Webb maintains she's unbothered by her ex-husband's presence in their social circle, stating in a confessional,

"The thing is, I'm not living my life with the focal point being my ex-husband."

Quad Webb addresses the situation

Despite the tension portrayed on Married to Medicine, both couples are trying to forge their own paths.

Webb and King's relationship has flourished since May 2023, with Webb noting they "have never ever separated" since getting together.

Meanwhile, the Luncefords are working through their communication challenges, though this episode revealed the complexity of blending their new life together while dealing with past relationship dynamics.

At BravoCon 2023, Webb addressed the situation with maturity, saying:

"I want them both to be happy. I don't want it to be a situation where people think [that] because she's a part of this show that I have something against her."

She emphasized that she and Lateasha have spoken off-camera and maintain no animosity.

As this season of Married to Medicine progresses, these relationship dynamics continue to unfold, with Webb hinting at more drama to come at the reunion.

"I actually think that my ex will have a lot that he needs to address, cause he was out of control this season," she revealed in a recent interview.

All 11 seasons of Married to Medicine are available for streaming on Peacock.
