"A scripted apology": Love is Blind star Sara breaks silence on what happened with Ben after their wedding day

Netflix's Love is Blind Season 8 Reunion aired on March 9, 2025. The latest episode of the social experiment featured many revelations, confrontations, and heated exchanges between participants.

One of the conversations was between Ben and Sara. The former couple didn't get married after Sara refused to get married during the show's finale. Later, when Love is Blind star Ben mentioned Sara didn't reply after he apologized to her.

Sharing her side of how things happened, Sara responded:

"You just dropped me the day I left. I still chose after the wedding day. Ben...you ghosted me for two months...a scripted apology. You use all my words in your apologies. It's scripted. And also, you were out drinking with friends all day and you say you're heartbroken and crying at home when you're not."

Love is Blind Season 8 Reunion: Sara and Ben open up about what happened after their wedding day

Netflix premiered Love is Blind Season 8 Reunion featuring singles from the pods and a married couple, Daniel and Taylor. Ben and Sara were among the cast members but didn't get married during the social experiment's finale.

During one of the segments, Ben shared that he wanted to share something about Sara's reason, because of which she said no at the altar on their wedding day.

"I knew coming into this experiment, I definitely have had privilege in my life and it's something I wasn't proud of, and something I knew I needed to grow. And then coming into this, I knew it was important to Sara in the pods. And so, I wanted to be vulnerable and be like, "Hey, I haven't given it much thought." You know, I'm embarassed the way that our conversation had gone at the beginning there."

The male host asked Sara what social activism meant to her. Referring to him, Love is Blind star Sara responded that she was not "necessarily" looking for a right or wrong answer. However, she mentioned wanting an "open conversation" with Ben.

"I just wanted to have open discussion. The problem is, out of the pods, it just never progressed. It felt like there was a lack of curiosity from Ben's side...and that bothered me. It just felt like I really didn't know Ben that well, actually."

Further, during the Love is Blind Season 8 Reunion, the show host asked Ben about his views regarding his church's stance on gay marriage. In response, Ben stated that he "didn't know" because there wasn't anyone he needed to know in his life. He also apologized for not knowing and mentioned that as he grew older, he needed to "grow."

In the latter part of their conversation, the hosts and Sara discussed the "girl" that Ben dated and the TikTok drama around it.
