He also discussed the nature of a polygamous relationship and how particular families have a proper structure to navigate these issues. He said:
"I was flying by the seat of my pants most of the time. For me, I believe in retrospect that my style of living plural marriage was a little bit too flexible."

Sister Wives cast member Kody Brown reflects on his relationship with his wives
In the episode, the Sister Wives cast member Kody Brown admitted to his mistake of being a "little bit too flexible" when it came to his lifestyle. While elaborating, he said that he knew people in a polygamous relationship who had "flexibility" and there were some who were "completely rigid." Giving an example with his statement, Kody implied that due to problems with scheduling time for each of the partners, things can get complicated. He continued:
"I've seen other people who are much more well-organized, with flexibility. And I've seen people who are just completely rigid, you know, where there is no flexibility. I've known polygamists who wouldn't even stay with his wife on her birthday because it was out of the sync of the schedule."
Kody admitted that he would not have been the best when it came to dividing time equally and might not have followed a specific pattern other polygamous families follow. During Janelle's confessional interview, she agreed with Kody's statement, meanwhile, Christine also stated that the Brown family patriarch's realization was true. The Sister Wives cast member said:
"I remember we'd get to hotels always and he never would say where he was going to stay. We never knew."
Meri, on the other hand, stated that Kody would show up unexpectedly, she continued:
"I'm a planner. Like, I want to know what to expect. And I just very often wouldn't get that kind of respect, you know, to even know. And he would just, like, show up."
The only remaining wife, Robyn, told the cameras she was not "really paying attention to Kody's schedule" and had no complaints regarding his decisions. But she did acknowledge that it "seemed like it was a thing, for a couple of my sister wives."
All-new episodes of Sister Wives are released every week on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET exclusively on TLC.
