Police procedural drama, Blue Bloods is back for season 14 since first airing in 2010. The drama series is about the Regan family who reside in the city of New York.

An Irish Catholic American family, the Regan family is known for its long standing history with the police as multiple generations of the family have worked with them in the past. Blue Bloods is currently airing its 14th season, which will also be the final season.

The main cast of Blue Bloods features Tom Selleck as Frank Regan, Will Estes as Jamie Regan, Donnie Wahlberg as Daniel Reagan, Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan, Len Cariou as Henry Reagan, and Vanessa Ray as Officer Edit Janko.

Blue Bloods has been cancelled by CBS and season 14 is to be its last season. This season was divided into two parts with ten episodes in the first part and eight episodes in the second part. With the second part releasing on October 18, 2024, here are some things to recap before part 2.

Before audiences begin to watch part 2 of Blue Bloods Season 14, here are some things that went down in part 1. In part 1 of Blue Bloods Season 14, audiences saw Joe Hill finally make peace with the Reagan part of his family. Joe is connected to the Reagans because of his estranged father.

In the past, Joe has been seen to become upset when acknowledged as a Reagan and has even gotten into a brawl with Jamie. In season 14, after Frank makes Joe and Jamie do patrol duty together, they bury the hatchet and respect each other. This ends with Joe accepting his place as a Reagan.

Audiences will see more of Joe in part 2 of Blue Bloods Season 14 as he has been confirmed to appear in the first episode of part 2. As for Jamie, in season 14, we see him go undercover to raid a sex trafficking ring after being promoted to Field Intelligence Officer.

Jamie goes undercover and acts as an operative who abducts and traffics vulnerable girls. While he helps one young girl escape, part 2 could see Jamie in more trouble or going up a rank in his career.

Blue Bloods Season 14 part 1 also sees ADA Erin Reagan run into trouble with her cases. The case involves a middle schooler whose teenage brother was jailed by her. She later feels immense guilt as she realizes that the teenager did not have to be convicted.

While the sister of the teenager refuses to forgive her, Erin manages to get the teen out of jail. She then takes up another case which is about illegal horse riding. She contacts Voorhees again to get information on the case, but fails to convince him. This case also leaves her with guilt as Voorhees is killed shortly after.

In part 1 of Blue Blood Season 14, audiences see a budding romance between Detective 1st Grade Daniel Reagan and Detective 1st Grade Maria Baez. Part 1 also sees Daniel join forces with Jackie again, but she confirms that Daniel and her are just friends.

Part 1 of Blue Blood Season 14 also sees Mayor Chase and Frank go head to head over a disagreement regarding how to curb the problem of undocumented migrants in the city. For those who remember the mayor asking Frank whether he wanted to retire or not, they can be assured that the second part of season 14 will not see Frank retire.
