90 Day Fiancè: Before The 90 Days' latest episode on Sunday, October 27, saw Brian Muniz go to meet Ingrid's mother Luiza. Ingrid, a 33-year-old Brazilian woman met Brian through an online dating app, and the couple dated for two years in a long-distance relationship before finally meeting. The couple had encountered their fair share of challenges from the beginning, but tried to make it work.
Brian Muniz, who had a troubled past and is quadriplegic did not hesitate to visit Ingrid and her family in Brazil. The couple navigated with their issues which consisted of secrets from the past, hiding things, and more. However, the couple decided to take it forward and introduced family into the picture. In the latest episode 9, Things Fall Apart, Brian joined Ingrid at her place.

Nevertheless, Ingrid's mother Luiza refused to mingle with Brian and have lunch with the couple because he was from a different country. Ingrid was upset with her mother for putting in 'zero effort' to get to know Brian. Her mother explained to the cameras her reasons for not liking Brian.
Brian traveled from Illinois to Brazil to be with Ingrid and know her son, Arthur. Brian gelled well with Arthur, as they met in episode 5 of 90 Day Fiancè: Before The 90 Days, however, he could not impress Ingrid's parents.

90 Day Fiancè: Before The 90 Days couple Ingrid and Brian joined Ingrid's parents for lunch in the latest episode, where Brian was not welcomed well by Luiza. She was not able to accept the fact that her only daughter wanted to be with someone who lived in a different country. Ingrid has a son, Arthur, and lives with her parents in Brazil. Her mother told the cameras when asked about why she did not accept Brian:
"For me, I don't accept. Neither does her father. Absolutely not."
She further added, clarifying that Brian being a quadriplegic had nothing to do with it, and said:
"No. I don't have any prejudice towards him with that. It's not prejudice against anything, but why does she want to date and marry someone from another country? She is our only daughter and she has to stay close to us."
Ingrid was hurt and embarrassed by her mother's treatment and felt that irrespective of her apprehensions, she should have been given a chance to know Brian.
Brian, on the other hand, asked Ingrid to talk to her mother and understand why she did not like him. Brian also said sarcastically that she might not be comfortable around him because of his wheelchair.
The 90 Day Fiancè: Before The 90 Days couple was seen having lunch alone, as Luiza refused to join them. Brian told Ingrid that he was thankful that she at least joined him. Ingrid was clueless about why her mother was so adamant about not joining them for lunch and mentioned that it was hard for her to process it. She told the cameras:
"Her reaction is strange. I feel bad for him and I feel embarrassed."
For Ingrid, her 90 Day Fiancè: Before The 90 Days journey had not been smooth. First, she was hit by a lie, and then she had to accept Brian's problematic past.
Brian lied to Ingrid about his real age and mentioned that he was 45, when in reality his actual age is 51. This also mounted the tension between the couple, however, both have them are trying to keep their focus on making this relationship work.
