76th Emmy Awards 2024: The most Emmys won by networks

1) FX – 36 Emmys

FX is the undisputed leader in this list, dominating the scene with 36 wins. This achievement chronicles the network’s high-quality shows, which both audiences and critics love.

One of the biggest wins for FX this year came from Shōgun, a historical drama based on James Clavell’s novel of the same name. Hiroyuki Sanada, who played a leading role in the series, won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.   • Masters of the Air

The documentary Girls State bagged two awards for Outstanding Directing and Cinematography.

With several nominations and wins, Apple TV+ proved its growing impact. Hulu has been making a name for itself with its unique and creative approach to original programming. This year, it bagged 7 Emmys in total. Quiz Lady won in the category of Television Movie. Only Murders In The Building made it to the nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series but won in categories like Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program (Half-Hour), Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score), and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

7) ABC – 7 Emmys

ABC had a good run at the Emmys with 7 wins. It has a history of producing really hit shows; this year was no exception. The Oscars had 4 Wins across these categories:

Jeopardy! won the Outstanding Game Show award, Shark Tank won the Outstanding Structured Reality Program, and Wheel of Fortune won the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Game Show.

8) NBC – 7 Emmys

NBC matched ABC’s performance this year with 7 Emmy wins, continuing to show its ability to compete with streaming services and traditional networks. One of the biggest contributors to NBC’s success was Saturday Night Live.

It won awards for Outstanding Production Design For A Variety or Reality Series, Outstanding Hairstyling For A Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program, Outstanding Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program, and others. It was also nominated for Outstanding Scripted Variety Series.

Other notable NBC shows include Late Night with Seth Meyers (nominated for Outstanding Talk Series) and The Voice, which won in the category of Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program.


9) CBS – 5 Emmys

CBS may not have performed exceptionally well this year. But it still secured 5 wins. Dick Van Dyke 98 Years Of Magic won in the category of Variety Special (Pre-Recorded). Karla Puno Garcia won Outstanding Choreography For Variety Or Reality Programming for Tony Awards.

Billy Joel: The 100th—Live At Madison Square Garden won Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special and Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special.

Despite the growing competition, CBS has maintained its ability to deliver quality content, especially in the genres of reality TV and procedural dramas.


10) Amazon Prime Video – 4 Emmys

It has been a quiet year for Amazon Prime Video at the Emmys. However, it still managed 4 wins. The notable series include Fallout and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Fallout won the awards for Outstanding Emerging Media Program and Outstanding Music Supervision. For Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Michaela Coel won Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series, and Stephen Pope won Outstanding Stunt Coordination for Drama Programming.


11) Peacock – 3 Emmys

Peacock may be the youngest contender on this list, but it’s already making a name for itself with 3 Emmy wins. The Traitors saved the game for the streaming platform by winning the Outstanding Competition Program award. In The Know won an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation. Alan Cumming won Outstanding Host for a Reality Or Reality Competition Program for The Traitors.

Peacock’s Emmy win count may not be as high as the others on the list, but its increasing popularity and growth suggest that it will soon be at par with the others in the awards race.
