7 times Supernatural blew our minds with savage dialogues

1)In the forest in season 12 episode 9

In season 12 episode 9 of Supernatural, we get one of the most chilling and savage dialogues from Dean Winchester, which has remained as one of the most memorable dialogues of the series. In this episode, we see Dean and Sam escape the building and try to run away. However, they were being followed by the troops. When one of the troop members came across Sam and Dean, they quickly ambushed him and took his communication device. On the device, Dean hears that the other end has been asking for Norton.

He says that Norton has gone to sleep. Dean tells the man on the other end to call off the mission and return so that nobody gets hurt. However, the man says that he will take his highly trained soldiers and track him down. He adds that Sam and Dean cannot run forever because they were trapped. However, on hearing this threat, Dean is not even phased. He says,

“Well, what we have here is a failure to communicate. ‘Cause we’re not trapped out here with you. You’re trapped out here with us”.

This is truly one of the savage dialogues in the series. It shows Dean and Sam’s ability to handle any situation. After fighting with supernatural beings, they have harnessed immense strength and capability that they are not easily scared by anything.

2)Dean and Eve in Season 6 episode 19

In season 6 episode 19, when Sam and Dean had their hands full because of Eve’s activities and tried to bring her down, the episode gave us one of the best savage dialogues, which has proved that Supernatural will always be unpredictable. When Sam and Dean encountered Eve at the diner, they thought she wanted to kill them.

However, when Eve told them about her extravagant plan against Crowley, they were completely shocked. Eve knew that Crowley was alive, and she also knew that he had been using souls to power up. So, she decided to take matters into her own hands and create the perfect beast that would make her work easy. She tells them about Ryan and gives them a proposal.

She says that if they are able to find Crowley and bring him to her, then she will let them live. However, Dean has no intention of working for her. He tells her that he would not work for demons. On hearing Dean’s reluctance, Eve probes them even further by telling them that she will turn them, which will eventually force them to listen to her. To this, Dean says one of his most savage lines,

“Beat me with a wire hanger, answer’s still no.”

Even when Eve could possibly kill both of them, along with Bobby and Castiel, Dean refuses to work for her.

3)Sam’s torture in Season 12 episode 1

When it comes to saying some of the most savage lines, the younger Winchester is not far behind. Sam Winchester might be the calm and collected one, but when forced to extremity, he can also be savage. In season 12 episode 1 when he is captured for information by Antonia, she puts Sam in shackles on a chair. On seeing her, Sam asks about the place they were in.

He wanted to know as he was wondering how far he would have to walk back to town after he killed her. Antonia tells Sam that she has a few questions for him that he will need to answer. The questions were about him, his brother, and the hunters in America. She tells him that she knows how he is and she has been watching him and his brother for years, ever since they almost ended the world the first time. However, Sam tells her that even if she asks him any questions, he will never give any answers, no matter how much he gets tortured. He then drops the most savage line, saying,

“I’ve been tortured by the Devil himself. So you’re just an accent in a pantsuit.”

Who would believe that this is the very same Sam we saw in the first season? His evolution and character development through the seasons have truly been remarkable.

4)Dean’s idea in Season 5 episode 1

In season 5 episode 1 of Supernatural, when Bobbie was in the hospital and Sam and Dean visited him, Bobbie was worried that he might not be able to walk again. He angrily told the doctor to go away after he gave him the news about his health issue. Dean assures him that he will be fine. Bobbie suggests that they should save as many as they can for as long as they can. He understands that the situation has turned bad.

However, as we know, Dean never backs out without a fight. He tells Bobby that they should fight the angels and the demons and adds that the angels and demons should take their battle to some other planet. When Bobby asks him his plan on making this successful, Dean says,

“ I got no idea. But what I do have is a GED and a 'give ‘em hell' attitude, and I’ll figure it out.”

And he did figure it out. Throughout the series, there have been several occasions when Sam and Dean have been outnumbered. Yet they have always emerged vitorious and alive, no matter how strong their opponent is.

5)Castiel’s words in season 6 episode 20

In season 6 episode 20, after the apocalypse was stopped by the Winchester brothers, Castiel went back to heaven. The other angels asked him about their purpose and their leader. They thought that God had chosen Castiel as their leader, and they should follow his orders.

However, Castiel wanted to make them understand that they did not need to follow anyone anymore. They had free will, and they had a choice to do what they wanted. However, making the angels understand the true meaning of freedom is not an easy task. When Castiel was reflecting on his actions in this episode, instead of telling the angels about the freedom, he gives us this line:

“Freedom is a length of rope. God wants you to hang yourself with it.”

To think that this innocent angel has the capacity to say such savage words truly shows how much Castiel has grown through the episodes. His words are a dark and powerful statement. It suggests a significant turning point in Castiel’s character arc in the series.

6)Brady’s fate in season 5 episode 20

In season 5 episode 20, when Crowley struggles because he was being hunted by the other demons, he takes help from the Winchester brothers. He tells them about Brady, who might have the rings. Brady was the handler of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It is also revealed that Sam had a history with Brady.

As Dean started to draw the salt circle with Brady and Sam inside, he made way for Crowley to pass. Brady asked them what they were doing. Dean says that the angels and the demons don't understand it and adds that,

“You see, Brady, we’re the ones you should be afraid of.”

This line encapsulates how the two brothers have literally fought with almost every supernatural being that they have encountered on their path.

7) Death in season 5 episode 21

In season 5 episode 21, when Dean finally found Death, their encounter was nothing short of an adventure. In the pizza parlour, Death sat eating pizza and asked Dean to join him. He told Dean that he had been wanting to talk to him. Dean asks Death if he will kill him. However, Death looks at Dean with a dismissive expression and tells him that,

“You have an inflated sense of your importance. To a thing like me, a thing like you, well…think how you’d feel if a bacterium sat at your table and started to get snarky.”

To see Dean’s expression when Death dismisses him completely is both hilarious and scary at the same time. Death’s formidable presence and each of his dialogues filled with intensity and depth, leaves a lasting impact on the viewers. Even though Death had caused trouble in the Wincheser brothers’ lives, he is undeniably one of the most intriguing characters in the series.
