Were you pulled into Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 because of its ground-level action, dark aesthetic, and character-driven arcs? And now that you are done watching it, are you looking for your next venture into binge-watching something similar? Well, we’ve got you covered. Here are 7 riveting TV shows that may align with your taste while sharing similarities with the MCU Daredevil reboot.

7 shows to watch if you loved Daredevil: Born Again Season 1

1) Daredevil (Netflix/Disney+)

Welp, let’s get the obvious out of the way, shall we?

There’s no better place to start watching stuff similar to Born Again than the OG live-action Daredevil that had made its way first on Netflix.

Netflix's Daredevil laid down the foundation for the tone that a Matt Murdock-centric show would lead into—the visual style and layered narratives that fans love.

Across its three seasons, the series follows a lawyer, Matt Murdock, as he manages life as a blind DA by day and Hell’s Kitchen’s mysterious vigilante protector by night.

Featuring standout performances, particularly Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk, the show delves deep into the psyche of its characters while exploring themes of heroism and retribution. And yes, the well-known hallway fight scenes by Daredevil are a staple at this point.

As Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 builds upon Matt’s legacy, looking back at the earlier material (if you haven’t already) might just help in providing vital context for Matt’s growth as a character moving forward.

The OG Daredevil is not just an introduction—it’s an essential watch for fans who wish to appreciate each and every moment of Matt’s journey as Daredevil.

2) Hawkeye (Disney+)

While it may lean into the holiday spirit, Hawkeye opts for an astonishing amount of overlay with Daredevil: Born Again.

Clint Barton’s low-key presence and personal guilt due to the death of Natasha echo Matt Murdock’s own sense of affliction.

Set in New York, the series finds Clint creating an anxious alliance with an ambitious hero named Kate Bishop (Now Hawkeye).

The threats they face—systematized crimes, haunting pasts, and moral quandaries—fit neatly into the more street-grounded level in the MCU universe that fans of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 might just appreciate.

3] Watchmen (HBO)

Few series can compete with the philosophical depth of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, but HBO’s Watchmen does come close.

Watchmen is set in an ‘alternate America’ where masked vigilantes are forbidden. The show is based on the Alan Moore graphic novel by the same name, and it looks at various themes like power, finding identity, and justice in great detail.

In Watchmen, Angela Abar traverses a world punctuated with racial trauma and hushed-up conspiracies, which, in a way, reflects Matt Murdock’s own battles with faith and rage.

If you were pulled into the philosophical substructures of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Watchmen is the genius next stop to hop onto.

4] Moon Knight (Disney+)

Crumbling mental sanity and moral ambiguity of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 finds a close link in the MCU’s Moon Knight.

Steven Grant, portrayed by Oscar Isaac, finds out that he shares a body with a mercenary named Marc Spector. As the show progresses, it is revealed that both are working for the Egyptian god named Khonshu.

The show delves deep into psychological disorders related to identity and explores ideas of faithfulness and justice through remarkable cinematography and powerful action sequences.

Much like Matt Murdock, Moon Knight functions from outside of the purview of law, every so often at great personal cost. The theme of battling one's inner demons is at the core of both shows.

And while Moon Knight leans more towards the MCU's supernatural side, its realistic portrayal of a tormented protagonist will resonate powerfully with fans of Daredevil: Born Again.

5] The Boys (Amazon Prime Video)

If Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 unlocks the fissures in superhero morality, The Boys takes a sledgehammer to them.

In a world where superheroes are quite literally owned and promoted by a corrupt corporation, The Boys—a riffraff group of vigilantes (not superhumans for a substantial portion of the show)—fight to bring forward the truth.

Like Matt Murdock, they too are morally grey characters…well, let’s just say Matt’s better. Nonetheless, this group of vigilantes also tends to take justice into their own hands when the system fails time and time again.

Billy Butcher and his team also stand for a similar raw anguish that drives Murdock forward.

The violence here is, by every means, cranked up to the extremes, and while it is meant to be satirical, the show's critique of hero worship is relentless.

If you admired Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 for its bold look at themes like justice and power, The Boys offers a much murkier, but equally convincing, reflection.

6] Better Call Saul (AMC/Netflix)

For fans of Daredevil: Born Again, Better Call Saul paints a different and grittier legal journey. It follows Jimmy McGill (played by Bob Odenkirk), a struggling lawyer who transforms into the shady Saul Goodman.

While Matt Murdock makes use of the law for justice, Jimmy slowly deserts all of his ethics, which is a decision driven by irritation, pride, and merely wanting to survive.

Set in early-2000s Albuquerque, this Breaking Bad prequel delves into the legal world’s grey areas, highlighting shrewd courtroom manoeuvres and personal settlements.

The story of the show's protagonist Jimmy, isn’t about being the hero. Instead, it’s about how unchanneled drive and bitterness have the potential to warp good intentions.

With Jimmy is Mike Ehrmantraut (portrayed by Jonathan Banks), a former cop and a fixer at present. Together, they steer through the moral decay, finding out what happens when the law doesn’t offer a way forward, thus presenting a grounded, darker counterpart to Matt’s morality and

7] Luke Cage (Netflix/Disney+)

Luke shares Daredevil’s street-level charm but dons the mask when his raw, true identity is revealed. Mike Colter portrays Luke, a man with bulletproof skin, a man who protects Harlem, and a man who is unfairly put behind bars.

His sense of justice is personal, fought in alleyways, churches, and barbershops, where exploitation wears badges and ties. Like Matt Murdock, Luke also confronts broken systems up front, but unlike Matt, he does it out in the open, refusing to hide who he is.

Both Luke and Matt battle with accountability and sacrifice, making Luke Cage a character that comes closest to Daredevil.

While Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 brings Matt Murdock back to a city that never stops bleeding, these seven shows offer just as powerful takes on justice, identity, and inner battles.

Whether it is mystery, fiery satire, or mythical depth, each series from this list picks up crumbs that Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 leaves lingering, and serves them to you as something daring and memorable.
