The first season of Mr. Beast's reality show, Beast Games just announced their first-ever winner, who got to take home, hopping 10 million dollars, thanks to a correct guess at the coin flip. Player no. 831, aka Jeffrey Randall Allen. Originally, the show offered a reward of $5 million dollars, but Mr Beast announced the amount to be doubled if a contestant guessed the coin flip correctly. Luck was in favor of Randall, who walked out with the grand prize. The player also shared with viewers what he was using the money for.

Randall told fans that he was driven by his need to help with his son Lucas' Creatine Transporter Disease, which affects his body's ability to transport creatine to its cells. As he spent his time on the show, he also made sure to raise awareness for the disease. Earlier on the show he said,

"I feel like I've already won because I got to talk about Lucas' condition in the last two episodes, and kind of anything on top of that is just gravy. Getting to share Lucas' story with a wider audience has been an incredible experience.

The Columbus native won against thousands of participants, some of which even got to take home million-dollar prizes despite not being the winner. The final round of the game was between players 937, 831 and 830. Mr. Beast offered a $1 million bribe to any contestant who wished to eliminate himself, an offer that was quickly taken up by player 937, who went home with a million dollars, leaving players 831 and 830 to fight for the grand prize.

The final round of Beast Games featured a competition between players 831 and 830, who were neck-to-neck in shuffling briefcases to reveal which one had the million-dollar winning check. Randall's win has been celebrated by the community of Columbus as he aims to use his money to find a cure for his son's rare disease.

What is Beast Games about?

Inspired by the Netflix show Squid Games, Mr Beast's reality show had a thousand people vying for 5 million dollars, much like the prior one. Except that it didn't feature any fatal or life-threatening competitions and mostly consisted of smart fun games. The show didn't exactly receive a very warm reception from critics, but it continues to be one of the most-watched shows on Prime Video.

Beast Games has also been a part of a controversy where several players have accused the organization of mistreatment among the participants. The lawsuit accused the show of unpaid wages, extreme physical conditions, a lack of medical care, and inadequate food, among others.

A spokesperson for Mr Beast made a statement, saying the Crowd Strike IT outage was responsible for unfortunate circumstances surrounding the game. The statement reads,

The MrBeast promotional video shoot, which included over 2,000 participants, was unfortunately complicated by the CrowdStrike incident, extreme weather, and other unexpected logistical and communications issues, which we are currently reviewing, but we are grateful that virtually all of those invited to Toronto for our next production have enthusiastically accepted our invitation.

They further added,

We have communicated directly with 97 percent of the 2,000 people who attended to ask for feedback, have launched a formal review of the process, and have taken steps to ensure that we learn from this experience and we are excited to welcome hundreds of men and women to the world’s largest game show in history.

Beast Games is available to stream on Prime Video.
