Netflix reportedly picked up the long-awaited docuseries from Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson. Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, it will feature the ongoing legal altercations of Sean Combs or ‘Diddy’ concerning the allegations of s*x trafficking, r*pe, and s*xual misconduct against him.

Combs pleaded not guilty on all charges but remains in the custody of authorities until his trial commences as his bail was denied. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and 50 Cent have nearly a decade-long feud, causing quite a stir in both fandoms.

In a conversation with Variety dated September 25, 2024, 50 Cent and Stapleton discussed the ethos of the upcoming Diddy docuseries revealing,

“This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”

They continued to connote that although Sean Combs' story is allegedly disturbing, it doesn’t reflect the entire rap community’s character. 50 Cent and Stapleton highlight,

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives.”

Since the Netflix project was recently confirmed, details concerning a release date, plot, trailer, and more about the Diddy docuseries remain strictly under wraps. Similarly, the number of seasons or episodes remains unconfirmed. More updates about the same are awaited.

What are the charges against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs?

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has recently been in the limelight for his ongoing legal battle after allegations of s*xual abuse, r*pe, trafficking, and more surfaced against him. The rapper is currently in police custody and anticipating a trial.

He could be looking at serious jail time should he be convicted of racketeering conspiracy and s*x trafficking by coercion or force, and transportation for the intent of prostitution per BBC.

Last week, the 54-year-old rapper was arrested by local police from a hotel he stayed at in New York on account of the aforementioned charges.

The Federal Prosecutors involved allege Diddy’s involvement in committing various intimate acts resulting in coercing, abusing, and threatening several women, sexually.

Speaking to the publication they claimed he “lured female victims for ‘Freak Offs.’” Moreover, his arrest comes after authorities raided his Miami abode and uncovered over 1,000 bottles of lubricant and baby oil earlier in March.

Although Diddy pleaded “not guilty” to the charges against him, his criminal trial is yet to begin. Diddy has faced a slew of charges since 1990 and even then pleaded not guilty. His innocence in court is yet to be debilitated. Thus far, 11 witnesses have stepped forward in light of Diddy’s arrest.

When did the feud between 50 Cent and Sean 'Diddy' Combs begin?

50 Cent and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have had decades of beef between them and it continues even today. Their feud dates back to 2006 after 50 Cent released a diss track “The Bomb” shading Combs about his alleged involvement with the homicide of rapper Notorious B.I.G.

Naturally, Combs strongly denied having any knowledge about the tragic death of the late rapper further confirming he had any ties to the murder. Since then, the duo have been going back and forth with disses, shade, and more.

Since Combs’ arrest, 50 Cent was one of the first people to comment about the same. He did so via a post on Instagram with a picture of him and Drew Barrymore on The Drew Barrymore Show. Cent’s caption shaded Combs saying,

“Here I am keeping good company with @thedrewbarrymoreshow and I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house.”

More details about 50 Cent's upcoming Netflix docuseries will be disclosed soon.
