DC characters have been around in popular consciousness since the very first Superman comic, Action Comics #1. While Superman and Batman are household names worldwide, not all characters from Detective Comics are known by the people. Countless characters across DC have yet to receive their due despite appearing in animated shows and direct-to-home animated movies.
Therefore, countless DC characters are yet to be seen by the people. Therefore, we compiled a list of characters that are either yet to receive their due on screen, or get a respectable and accurate adaptation.

Which DC characters deserve more recognition and praise?
While Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Peacemaker, and Harley Quinn have gained popularity, several other characters deserve recognition but haven't because they haven't appeared in a beloved movie. Here are some of these underrated characters you should know of:
Green Lantern Corps
The different Lantern Corps deal with the cosmic side of the DC Universe. While human Hal Jordan is a legendary member of the Green Lantern Corps, another human, John Stewart, is beloved by millennials for his role in the Justice League animated series, which was part of the DCAU (DC Animated Universe).
Hawkgirl
Another DC icon, Hawkgirl has appeared on TV screens in both animated and live-action formats. Hawkgirl is a DC character with complicated lore as she and her partner, Hawkman, have a long and storied past spanning multiple births and incarnations.
Nonetheless, the one thing people generally know Hawkgirl for is her role in the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series.
Nightwing
Nightwing is the first Robin, Richard "Dick" Grayson, who grew out of the Robin persona after growing up. Thus, he leaves Wayne Manor and rebrands himself as "Nightwing", a figure associated with the Kryptonian culture. However, it should be noted that Grayson's Nightwing is not superpowered, he is very much human without powers, like Batman.
Despite his awesome suit, and popularity with the comic book crowd, neither Robin nor Richard Grayson has appeared in a feature film since 1997's Batman & Robin. In the comics, it is somewhere close to becoming an adoptive parent that Batman adopted his iconic "no-kill" rule. Richard's inclusion is imperative in maturing Batman as not just a hero but also a parental figure.
Green Arrow

A cult favorite amongst Detective Comics fans, Oliver Queen is a character that the internet will describe as "woke" in derision. While he was mocked as just Batman with a bow and arrow, 80s Green Lantern/Green Arrow: Hard-Traveling Heroes changed the way fans looked at Green Arrow. The Dennis O'Neil story made the Emerald Archer one of the DC Universe's socially conscious heroes.
While some may find Green Arrow to be a surprising addition to this list, it must be noted that neither Smallville (from seasons 6 to 10) nor Arrow got the character right. In both of these CW shows, Green Arrow feels more like a stand-in for Batman, because rumor has it that the Caped Crusader wasn't accessible to the network.
Booster Gold

A conman/loser from the future decides to travel back in the past, i.e., the present, and use his knowledge to become a superhero. That's the premise that this character was sold on, but the one thing that skyrocketed his popularity with fans was his team-up with Blue Beetle. James Gunn had announced a series featuring the character, however, the development of the series has been slow.
What do you think about this list? Is there any other DC character you would like to add here?
