Following the circumstances, Terkanian gave up her daughter for a closed adoption, unaware of the hell her daughter was going to face in the future.
This true crime series follows the disappearance of Aundria Bowman in 1989, who was murdered by her adoptive father, Dennis Bowman. Cathy Terkanian did an extensive search for Aundria and learned about her challenging life.
Similar to Lyle and Erik Menendez, Aundria Bowman was also s*xually assaulted by her father. He didn't treat her like a daughter and often hit her. Dennis Bowman killed Aundria and then cut her legs off to dispose of her dead body in a trash can.
The series also revealed that the adoptive parents didn't even give Aundria proper meals to eat and tortured her after welcoming their biological child. Before Aundria could run away from her abusive father, she was brutally killed.
