Dune: Prophecy is proving to be Max's next big hit after The Penguin, and the story seems more intriguing with every new episode.
With only three episodes left and no confirmation for Season 2, it will be interesting to see how well the story progresses. Fans are already anticipating the next installment of this cinematic masterpiece after Max released the trailer for Episode 4.
While Episode 3 focused on Valya and Tula's past stories, fans gained a deeper understanding of their motives with the Sisterhood.
Episode 4 will see Valya reuniting with her uncle, the Sisterhood's ominous vision, and Desmond's growing power over the House of Corrino.
Here is everything you can expect from Dune: Prophecy Episode 4.
5 predictions for Dune: Prophecy Episode 4
1) Dune: Prophecy timeline will continue in the present in Episode 4
After spending the majority of the timeline in the past in Episode 3 to show young Valya and Tula, the storyline is finally back to the present, centering around the conflict of the Sisterhood.
The flashback story of Valya and Tula was important in establishing their characters and their motives for regaining control over the House of Corrino. Griffin's murder by Vorian Atreides is the setting stone for Valya's revenge, and this might be explored further in Episode 4.
2) Desmond Hart will continue to be a threat in Dune: Prophecy Episode 4
After the fatal accident at the Arrakis, which was supposed to end his life, Desmond Hart was instead blessed by the deity named Shai-Hulud and given mysterious powers. Desmond remains a mysterious figure, and his threat will grow in Episode 4.
His influence over the Royal Corrino family and his enigmatic abilities make him a persistent threat to the Voice.
3) Valya will be reunited with her Uncle Evgeny Harkonnen in Dune: Prophecy Episode 4
The trailer for Episode 4 shows Valya reuniting with her uncle Evgeny Harkonnen (Mark Addy). But things are not amiable between them, as he calls her the 'black hole of their family.'
Valya replies, "I will not apologize for my strength!". The Sisterhood provided her with a purpose beyond her family and accommodated her strengths, something which her family failed to do. However, her past still haunts her, and the meeting with her uncle may cause problems for her in going further in her mission.
4) The Sisterhood foresees an ominous vision in Dune: Prophecy Episode 4
With Desmond's growing powers within the Imperium, the Sisterhood foresees a terrible reckoning that will disrupt everything. The trailer shows the Sisterhood going into a frenzy with visions that they translate to paper.
The endless black spiral signifies a dark reckoning that will threaten the sanctity of their institution. This vision will greatly disturb Tula.
5) Dune: Prophecy story doesn't seem to be ending with Season 1
While the show has not yet been confirmed for a Season 2, the story seems to have just begun. With Desmond's powers juxtaposed with the Sisterhood's ominous visions, there is no way that the story can be completed in just three episodes.
The story of the Bene Gesserit's rise will take more time and seasons to develop fully, and the show promises to become more interesting.
Catch Episode 4 on December 8, 2024, on Max.
