If Wheel of Time pulled you into its world of magic, prophecies, and epic battles between light and dark, you're probably craving more such adventures and stories. If so, then we've got you covered!
But before we go into the top five shows we've selected for fantasy lovers, here's a quick rundown on what Wheel of Time is all about: Amazon Prime Video has taken the TV series from Robert Jordan's novels, which is based on Moiraine, portrayed by actress Rosamund Pike.
As seen in the television series, Moiraine is a strong Aes Sedai member, a group that deals with magic. What makes this group special is that it's headed by women on a mission to discover a foretold individual known as the Dragon Reborn.
It's also believed that the Dragon Reborn will be reincarnated among five young villagers and possess supreme power to ruin or save the world. Though the group serves the figure throughout Wheel of Time Season 1, the underlying conflict in the series is all about the confrontation between the powers of Light and Dark.

Five shows to watch if you enjoyed Prime Video's Wheel of Time
As previously mentioned, Prime Video's Wheel of Time has become a popular fantasy TV series among fans. It delves into a world where a group of women uses magic in search of the world's savior.
While the series focuses on its protagonist, a fantasy drama is incomplete without a formidable foe, and in Wheel of Time, it's Dark One. This sinister entity has thrown the world into chaos, and the only one to stop this force is Dragon Reborn.
Here are five shows you can watch to dive back into adventure and fight against the evil to gain power:
1) Shadow and Bone

Set in Grishaverse, Netflix's Shadow and Bone is adapted from Leigh Bardugo’s novels. At the heart of the story is Alina Starkov, an orphaned mapmaker who eventually discovers her power to summon light.
Her ability makes Alina a prophesied Sun Summoner, and she must use it to save the war-torn world where Ravka is divided by a terrifying Shadow Fold. The place is filled with dark creatures and monsters, and while Alina is being trained to protect it, she battles with a powerful Shadow Summoner or Darkling.
Similar to Wheel of Time, this fantasy TV series focuses on a young protector born to take down darkness. It also dives into conflicts between characters and the complex magical system.
2) The Witcher

If you haven't watched Superman star Henry Cavill's The Witcher on Netflix, you're missing out on a great story. Like Wheel of Time, this TV series is also based on a world filled with magic, monsters, and political intrigue.
Cavill is seen playing the lead role of Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter with magical mutations. While Geralt works by slaying monsters for coins, his path changes after meeting two women: Yennefer of Vengerberg and Princess Cirilla (Ciri). These figures are connected to magic and often influence the monster slayer.
What makes The Witcher similar to the Prime Video series is how Geralt protects and guides young individuals like Moiraine for Dragon Reborn. It also highlights how magic can be both a gift and a burden.
3) House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon is set nearly two centuries before the events of Game of Thrones and explores the rise and fall of House Targaryen. This fantasy drama is about a major power struggle between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Prince Aegon II as the two fight for the Iron Throne.
Since it's a fantasy drama, the TV series features mighty and formidable dragons connected to the key figures. Similar to Wheel of Time, prophecy and battles play a big role in House of the Dragon.
4) The Sandman

Netflix's The Sandman brings to life Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic book series, focusing on Tom Sturridge's lead character Dream. He's the ruler of dreams, a place from where all dreams and nightmares come.
The story kicks off with humans trapping Dream after they mistook him for death. Due to this, Dream couldn't control dreams and nightmares, and the world fell into chaos. While some humans cannot wake up, others suffer from constant nightmares, making life hard and stressful.
Eventually, Dream finds a way out, and to fix everything, he needs to recover the most important objects: his ruby, a sand pouch, and a helmet. It delves into ancient and powerful beings with huge responsibilities, just like fans saw in the Prime Video series.
5) His Dark Materials

This fantasy drama follows multiple worlds, where one of them is filled with people’s souls as talking animal companions called daemons. Actress Dafne Keen plays the titular character named Lyra, an orphan who learns about a dangerous secret about a mysterious substance called Dust.
Like the Wheel of Time, prophecy plays a vital role in His Dark Materials, as it says Lyra is capable of protecting the world from dark forces. She encounters various enemies in different worlds and eventually crosses paths with a boy named Will as the two have connected fates.
