While they belong from different universes, Invincible and DC character Jon Kent are very alike, and many believe Jon Kent to be the inspiration behind Invincible/Mark Grayson. They both have powerful fathers who are not from earth and both the sons have difficult legacies to live up to. Omni-Man is from Viltrum, while Superman is from planet Krypton.

Both Invincible and Jon Kent have super speed, strength, and flight, but they also have different powers. Invincible has some powers that come from his alien heritage, while Jon Kent has Kryptonian powers due to his father. Moreover, they both struggle with their identity as half human, half superheroes, and the effect their fathers have on their lives.

The Immortal inspired by Superman

The Immortal is considered to be inspired by DC superhero, Superman because they both have similar powers and purpose. The Immortal is human, not from planet Krypton like Superman, but has superhuman strength and speed. They both are superheroes because they want to protect humanity from injustice and are good in nature. While their origin stories are different from each other, they were not born to be heroes. They were chosen ones. Thus, their purpose is to fight for the greater good.

As both their names suggest, Atom Eve can manipulate atoms and Marvel supervillain Molecule Man can control all molecules. That is quite literally their very similar powers. Atom Eve can change the atomic structure of objects. Molecule man can control all molecules, which makes him quite dangerous. However, Atom Eve cannot change the atoms in living creatures, but Molecule Man doesn't have that limitation. Both have incredibly destructive powers but are aware of their reality and hence, they often struggle with their superhero identity and power use.

Monster Girl inspired by Hulk

Monster Girl is said to have been inspired by the Marvel character, Hulk. At the first look, she looks very similar to Hulk. Like Hulk, Monster Girl changes into a green color creature of a giant size after transformation. She also has super strength and stamina. However, one difference is that Monster Girl's transformation causes her to age backward visually. She is technically an adult but looks younger with every transformation.

Omni-Man inspired by Jor-El

Omni-Man is often believed to have been inspired by the DC character, Jor-El. Both Omni-man and Jor-El belong to alien planets and have superhuman powers. Besides, they both are passionate about their planets and prioritize their own species over everything.

They are both portrayed as heroes, men who are good in nature. However, with time, it is revealed that they have sinister plans. Omni-Man's actions cause destruction on earth, while Jor El's decision to send Superman to Earth makes his life extremely difficult.

There has been no confirmation that these Invincible characters have been inspired by other mentioned superheroes. However, netizens and fans have been noticing these similarities for quite some time. Despite having similarities with DC/Marvel characters, Invincible has been a success with fans, who loved the show's story-telling style, characters, and plotlines.

All three seasons of Invincible are available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
