Daredevil: Born Again brought Charlie Cox's character Matt Murdock back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the show was released on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The first season spanned nine episodes, which ended on April 15, 2025.
Killing off Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) in Episode 1 was one of the show's most audacious decisions. It changed Matt's moral compass and drove him to reaffirm his dedication to his disguised identity. While raising the stakes in Matt's battle against corruption, the shocking revelation in Episode 9 that Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer) had planned Foggy's death brought fans a heartbreaking conclusion.
The show's Season 2 has set the stage for a brutal political and moral conflict but, for the plot to be fully realized, the second season needs to concentrate on three important events.
Top 3 things that need to happen in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
The top 3 things that need to happen in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 include:
Matt must fully embrace Daredevil
Matt Murdock battled to balance his legal principles with the harsh realities of New York's corruption throughout Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. In addition to being symbolic, his hesitation to wear the Daredevil outfit was linked to his sorrow, insecurity, and guilt over Foggy's passing.
A Daredevil who battles justice on the streets full-time rather than in a courtroom must be featured in Season 2. He has passed through a threshold. In the upcoming chapter, Matt should be shown as a determined, strategic force who strikes a balance between cunning and violence, ultimately coming into line with his mission. Better use of his abilities, improved fighting choreography, and astute planning are all part of that; the city needs its devil, and this time, he must be unrestrained.
Vanessa Fisk must be publicly exposed and face consequences
Everything changed when Vanessa Fisk was revealed in the latter part of the season as the murderous mastermind behind Foggy Nelson's death.
Vanessa's actions must be revealed if Season 2 is to preserve narrative consistency. Public exposure of her crimes must happen, whether it comes from an off-the-record leak, investigative journalism, or a whistleblower.
Season 1 undercuts Foggy's death and weakens Matt. This is mainly because Vanessa keeps avoiding justice and her demise must be framed in the season 2 as akin to Fisk's as per the main plot.
Bullseye and Muse must become the primary threats
Even if Wilson Fisk is the mayor, Born Again's biggest dangers might not be dressed in suits. Bullseye's character, Benjamin Poindexter, was seen to be alive, mentally ill, and silently watching Matt in Episode 8.
In the meantime, New York's underground has been rocked by the hideous serial killer known as Muse, who was only hinted at in Season 1. His atrocities are ritualistic, symbolic, and intended to poison society.
Both of the antagonists must be highlighted in Season 2 and Bullseye is Daredevil's ideal reflection—accurate, deadly, and fixated. However, Muse is a wildcard that neither Matt nor Fisk can control because he stands for anarchy.
