11) Kim Basinger’s $20 Million Town
It was in the late 1980s when actress Kim Basinger bought a small town in Georgia named Braselton for $20 million. She had grand plans to turn the small town into a tourist attraction, along with a film studio. However, the ambitious plan fell through after financial troubles forced her to sell it at a loss. While the purchase was risky, it only exhibited the entrepreneurial spirit and the willingness of Basinger to think big, even if the venture didn't pan out as planned.
