1923 Season 2 finale is airing & Brandon Sklenar could not be  any more 'emotional' about it

Taylor Sheridan's 1923 deals with the lives of the Duttons, and the hardships they face to protect their ancestral Yellowstone ranch in Montana from harsh weather conditions and greedy encroachers. 1923 Season 2 premiered on February 23, 2025 on Paramount +.

The season ends on April 6, 2025, and several issues need to be addressed in the series finale, including whether the Duttons can save their ranch from Whitfield and Banner, especially after losing a loved one. Will Alexandra and Spencer finally reunite at the Yellowstone ranch after their separate perilous journeys to Montana? What lies ahead for Teonna?

Before it airs, Brandon Sklenar, who plays Spencer Dutton in 1923, shared some tidbits about the insane finale in an interview with People. He said:

"I mean, I couldn't even prep it because it would make me so emotional reading it. Even thinking about it, I get emotional."

However, he also promised that the fans would be satisfied with the finale episode. describing it as an 'eater'. He told People,

"Fans definitely won't be disappointed as the finale is an eater for sure. Even with the expectations he had the story exceeded them. I knew it was going to be good, but I was like this is on a level for sure. They tap into something."

Sklenar also revealed to People that he felt more confident playing Spencer in Season 2 than in the debut season. He said that in the two-year gap between the first and the second season, he honed his skills by doing other projects, researched about the 'evolved' character, and therefore was confident about playing Spencer in Season 2.

1923 Season 2, Episode 6 saw a lot of twists, including the death of several characters. While Marshal Kent killed Pete Plenty Clouds, Father Renaud killed Marshal Kent for cursing at the priest. Renaud killed Runs His Horse, too, while Teonna and her father were resting after a traumatic day. Teonna, in a fit of rage, killed Father Renaud by stabbing and shooting him mercilessly while he was trying to execute her.

Meanwhile, in Montana, Clyde and Alec kill Jack Dutton and hide his body in the forest. Apart from the main characters, Hilary and Paul, the kind British couple who pitched for Alex during the train incident and saved her from getting arrested, froze to death. Alex, on the other hand, might be safe due to the blanket and alcohol. Alexandra's journey isn't over yet, as she is stuck in the cold wilderness between Wyoming and Montana.

How to watch 1923 Season 2 finale episode?

1923 Season 2 Episode 7, titled A Dream and a Memory, is set to be released on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 12 a.m. ET on Paramount +. The finale is going to be a two-hour episode instead of its usual one-hour streaming time.

The finale will portray the ultimate fate of the Yellowstone ranch as Jacob Dutton awaits Spencer's return from the never-ending journey to Montana. Meanwhile, Elizabeth has to deal with the news of her husband's unfortunate murder, while Alexandra has to somehow save herself in the snowy wilderness and reach Montana.
