The prequel series follows Cara (Helen Mirren) and Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford), in early 20th-century America, as they face several challenges, such as the onset of the Great Depression and drought.

1923 Season 2 Episode 4: Release date and time
1923 Season 2 Episode 4, titled Journey the Rivers of Iron, will premiere on March 16, 2025, exclusively on Paramount Plus at midnight ET/ 9 PM PT (previous day). The Western drama airs a new episode weekly every Sunday on Paramount Plus.

What to expect from 1923 Season 2 Episode 4?
The upcoming episode, Journey the Rivers of Iron, will pick up where the previous episode left off.
Since this is the final season of 1923 and only four episodes will remain after the release of episode 4, the series is expected to pick up the pace. We will see more of Spencer Dutton’s journey back home, while his wife, Alexandra, is also one step closer to getting to Montana and meeting her husband, even as threats loom around her.
Meanwhile, in Montana, Jacob and Cara need to ensure that Zane’s brain surgery, without any anesthesia, goes well and he survives.
What happened in 1923 Season 2 Episode 3?
In the previous episode, titled Wrap Thee in Terror, we saw Jacob and his companions survive the blizzard but not with ease, as Zane Davis is said to be suffering from subdural hematoma and needs brain surgery.
On the other hand, Spencer Dutton and his friend Luca get into trouble as they are caught by Texas police while taking the illegal whiskey to Fort Worth. With heavy firing going on, Luca gets caught up and is gunned down by the policemen, leaving Spencer alone in his journey back home.
Spencer’s wife, Alexandra, has also left for Montana from Grand Central Terminal after going through several unsettling and humiliating security steps, such as multiple medical examinations and an interview with a security official.
Furthermore, her journey to Montana is still marred with danger as an unknown man starts following her.
