Yellowstone's prequel spin-off series, 1923, premiered its Season 2 last week, where the Duttons were in for a harsh winter.
The atrocities of Montana winter continued well in Episode 2, where the Dutton ranch was surrounded by wolves, both literally and metaphorically. With Donald Whitfield setting his eyes to transform the ranch into a ski resort, the Duttons are in for trouble.
1923 Season 2 Episode 3 will be released on March 9, 2025, and will continue the Dutton Ranch saga and see progress in Spencer and Alex's journey to home.

1923 Season 2 Episode 3, titled, 'Wrap Thee in Terror' will be released on Paramount+ on March 9, 2025, at 3 am ET/midnight PT. The show is exclusively available to stream on Paramount+ and viewers can watch it with a subscription.
The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads as follows:
Alexandra runs into trouble while travelling alone; making enemies along the way, Father Renaud and Marshal Kent close in on Teonna.
Episode 2 showed how Spencer got involved with the Italian bootleggers on his journey home. The next episode will focus on his wife's hardships, being pregnant and on board a ship. The episode will deal with the hardships she will endure while reaching her family and Spencer.
Another plot point for the upcoming episode will be Father Renaud finally making progress in Teonna's search. After he puts up her posters in Oklahoma, it looks like he will finally have a lead, which will get him closer in his search, hinting at danger for Teonna and her family.
What happened in 1923 Season 2 Episode 2?
1923 Season 2 premiere saw Spencer finally completing his voyage and setting foot in Texas, where the Italians have set up their bootlegging business. Eager to repay him, Luca takes him to Signore Maceo, the head of the illegal business.
Maceo helps Spencer send a telegram to his family but takes his hospitality too far. When Spencer tries to leave for his home via train, Maceo sends his men to track him down, who beat him and bring him to their boss. After learning Spencer's story, Maceo arranges trucks for him and Luca, but on the condition that they will distribute his whiskey on the way.
Elsewhere, Cara struggles from a violent winter in Montana, engulfed by a snowstorm. A wild wolf manages to enter the ranch and bites Elizabeth on the leg. Cara immediately sends for a doctor, who gives her a rabies shot. But at night, Cara again hears the wolf, who has entered the house and eaten the nurse who was sleeping downstairs.
Jacob, too, struggles in the snowstorm on his way to Montana with Zane Davis and his other ranch hands. After practically blackmailing the judge, he managed to get legal permission to bring Zane home with him, but the snowstorm hindered them. They finally stop in the middle of the night and take shelter beneath their wagons.
