As we all know that the character of Lucifer is played by Tom Ellis, who is British. It seems that the makers liked his accent, as it was not changed in the American show.

Everything sounds fancier (and sassier) when Lucifer speaks in a smooth, aristocratic British drawl. For example, when he says, “I would never!” in a British accent, it sounds unwittingly funny.
