Executively produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron, the psychological crime thriller is based on the book by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. The show was immensely popular during its two-season run. The series follows the founding members of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit in the late 1970s that began criminal profiling serial killers and essentially tried to learn the psychology behind their crimes. A gritty show, it unfortunately ended too soon.
