Connie or Constance Tucker is one of the most important characters of Young Sheldon. Apart from Sheldon, his parents, and siblings, his family includes his grandmother, Connie. She is adorningly called meemaw by her grandchildren. Played by Annie Potts, she is not the typical grandmother, as she is fiery, independent, witty, and sarcastic. But she always stands by her grandchildren. Here are 15 reasons why she is the coolest meemaw anyone can ask for:

1. That time when Connie sings the national anthem and waves the national flag outside her home

In Season 1, episode 2, Sheldon lands the whole family in trouble when he complains about the poor quality of his favorite bread in an interview on TV and inadvertently suggests communism. This scares the family, who are blacklisted for being communist supporters. Connie/Meemaw’s solution to this is to sing the national anthem in front of her home and wave a giant US flag to show her solidarity.

2. When Connie stood up for gender equality and her granddaughter

Even though her father tries to get her into a tryout, Dale, who is the baseball coach of the kids' team, says no as she is a girl. Connie becomes the best meemaw possible when she steps up for her granddaughter and gives a lesson or two to Dale. Ultimately, Missy gets a chance to play, proving that Connie is always there for her grandchildren.

3. That time when Connie starts an illegal gambling business and gets her grandson involved
