The Challenge All Stars: Rivals latest episode witnessed Ashley and Aneesa leaving the show after their elimination against Adam and Steve. The ladies had just resolved their conflict and were prepping to perform like a team, but they did not see this elimination coming.

Ashley, who has been relying on Aneesa's political connections just like Aneesa herself, had a different game plan entering Season 5. Facing the elimination arena so soon was not her mind. However, this season was not meant for the pair, as they were not able to show off their best gameplay in the show.

The pair quit the challenge in episode 2 and managed to get through episode 3 daily challenge as well. However, fans loved them for the drama and their competitive spirit but did not get to enjoy it for longer. The Challenge All Stars fans had mixed reactions to the elimination of Ashley and Aneesa. They were not satisfied with the pairing and criticized them for lack of strategy as a team.

A fan took to X and commented:

"If Aneesa and Ashley lose this episode Yall better come at Ashley with the SAME energy you would have for Aneesa if she made a stupid choice like Ashley did. #TheChallengeAllStars5 Ashley was 100% the toxic partner here."
"so aneesa's "amazing political" game was also the reason why she got sent down into elim dragging ashley down with her... so useless oh obesa you will pay #TheChallengeAllStars5," wrote another fan.
“I wonder when Aneesa is going to realize these people aren’t her friends. They only keep her around to lay her up at the final” #TheChallengeAllStars5," comented another person.
"What I hate about aneesa is she talks so big in eliminations and then musters up the ability to move when she’s about to go home but can’t in the daily’s that would’ve kept her out of elimination in the first place… #TheChallengeAllStars5," wrote another person.
"I’m devastated for Ashley but her elimination was expected considering Aneesa’s track record let’s be real and at least Ashley is free now #TheChallengeAllStars5," commented another fan.
"They were gone too soon. Love Aneesa though she can't win a final to save her life (and she was such a badass in her early seasons, though now, not so much) and Ashley brings the drama to whatever season she's on," wrote another fan.

The Challenge All Stars: Rivals fame Ashley Mitchell expected the contestants to be more "political" this season

The Challenge All Stars: Rivals Episode 4 was the last shot for Ashley Mitchell and Aneesa Ferreira in the show. But it seemed that they were not planning to say goodbye so soon. Aneesa, who was confident in the connections, expected to dodge the elimination bullet. On the other hand, her partner Ashley was also banking on the same, considering they lacked the physical prowess.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, just before the premiere of the show, Ashley Mitchell opened up about her pairing with Aneesa and remarked that she wished for "people to be more political" rather than forming alliances and behaving like they are on vacation.

She candidly mentioned that after knowing that Aneesa was her partner, she took the responsibility of holding the team "physically" and trusted Aneesa to forge political connections, something she was good at, to take them ahead in the game. Elaborating on the same, Ashley mentioned in the interview:

"I was happy to know that politically she'll be able to help us because she's the a**-kisser — everyone likes Aneesa because she will clean their a--hole with her tongue."

The Challenge All Stars: Rivals airs every Wednesday at 8 pm ET/PT on MTV.
