In the crime television series, Reacher, the titular character finds himself amidst several enemies who not only test his muscle power and brilliant mind, but also challenge his strict moral codes. Jack Reacher, the retired Military Police Officer, is caught off guard many a time to face off petty or imposing villains in the show while carrying out his duties.

Played by the American actor, Alan Ritchson, Reacher is an indomitable character who fights against crimes in his own unpredictable yet striking ways. Whether he is tasked with uncovering a corrupt official working within the system, or some brutal villain with a personal vendetta, Reacher's sharp instincts and sheer determination enable him to take down just about anyone.

The 3 seasons are based on the books by Lee Child, namely Killing Floor, Bad Luck and Trouble, and Persuader.

1. Xavier Quinn

Francis Xavier Quinn, played by Brian Tee, had once served as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, and was called Lieutenant Colonel. He remains one of the greatest rivals Jack has had a history with. Quinn became a ruthless criminal, accused of working as a spy and leaking valuable military information to the enemies.

However, Jack believed that he had long been shot dead, even though his body was never discovered, until his reappearance was explained in Season 3. Quinn was the calm, devious mastermind behind some of the most evil schemes and plans, which ultimately revealed his sociopathic nature. But, Reacher, being the ultimate genius, outpaced Quinn time and again.

2. Sklar & Bellinger

Sklar and Bellinger were the two petty criminals who ran a warehouse at Bizarre Bazaar, handling the delivery and transportation of illegal cargo. The two were not some grand level goons but mere pawns in a much bigger smuggling ring.

However, Reacher eventually hunted them down and sealed their fate. The two had not seen it coming when Reacher confronted them out of nowhere and he caught them completely off guard. Although Sklar and Bellinger had limited screen time in the series and Sklar got all the dialogues among the two, both played crucial roles that not only added depth to the narrative but also triggered events significant to the storyline.

3. Mayor Teale

Portrayed by Bruce McGill, Grover Teale is the Mayor of Margrave city who also happens to be one of the oldest rivals of Jack Reacher. As a guardian of the law, he was corrupted and misused his power and position to suit his own personal motives. Teale exploited the town and its people by manipulating the whole system. His secret and evil involvement in KJ Kliner’s illicit operations made him a major part of the criminal world. He would cover up for the bad guys and protect them from the eyes of the law.

But we know if it's one thing Reacher hates the most, it’s crime. And so with usual knack for disregarding the rules, Reacher exposed Mayor Teale and his corrupted state of affairs more than once.

4. John Cooper

John Cooper appeared in Season 3 of the Amazon Prime series Reacher, as the bodyguard of Richard Beck, son of the illegal business tycoon Zachary Beck. Not much is known about him except for the fact that he comes with a criminal history. He was tried for one year for domestic violence and about four years for aggravated assault. His encounter with Reacher is the result of a strange turn of events, that is, during the pre-planned kidnapping of young Richard by Jack Reacher.

It is in the aftermath of this abduction that John Cooper, played by Ronnie Rowe, is held back by the DEA agents for interrogation and we learn that he is one of Beck’s trusted men and could serve as one of the shrewd villains in the future episodes of the series.

5. Zachary Beck

Zachary Beck is a complex character in the series Reacher, as his villainy is often obstructed by his moral dilemmas. Portrayed by Anthony Michale Hall, Zach is the mastermind behind Bizarre Bazaar who runs a wealthy business of rug import from the coast of Maine. Even though it is revealed that he is not the one pulling the strings of much bigger criminal activities in the town, he is involved in many petty as well as major illegal dealings. The people above him had threatened to put his and his son's life in danger if Zach did not do as they asked of him. His love for his kid, however, brings out the human side of his character. Reacher is not unknown about Beck’s criminal business and had unmasked him on several occasions.

6. Paulie Van Hoven

A gigantic villainous character in the series, Paulie Van Hoven is not just Zach's bodyguard but is also responsible for maintaining order amongst the other employers at Bizarre Bazaar. Played by the famous actor and bodybuilder, Olivier Richters, Paulie had previously served in the U.S. Army with a criminal background. Although this 7ft muscular man looks like a tall, brooding tower before Reacher, he cannot beat Reacher in wit and intelligence. Their encounters were not just petty fights, but humiliating reality checks for Paulie. However, his intimidating physical appearance was one of the greatest threats Jack had to encounter since he is known for his physical strength in the show. Reacher even admitted that the guy was twice his size.

7. Angel Doll

Angel Doll, as mysterious as his name sounds, was a former U.S military who started working for Zachary Beck in his illegal operations. Portrayed by Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Angel Doll’s character was an efficient figure in the criminal world who took pride in his methodical approach to carrying out illicit activities.

However, when he was assigned with the task to murder the night-duty police officer at the impound station, his calculative ways were not of much help. Reacher, being the unpredictable genius that he is, ultimately managed to take down this cunning guy in a brutal way as he started getting suspicious about Reacher’s activities. Realizing that Angel could be a potential obstacle in Reacher’s mission, he had to kill him.

8. Chapman Duke

The trusted head of security in Zachary Beck’s unlawful business affairs, Chapman Duke was a man of wicked and devious nature. He was strategic in following security protocols and his character was crucial to Zach’s operations, despite his brief fate in the series. He played a significant part in overseeing the criminal activities and thus grew doubtful of Reacher's loyalty. Chapman, constantly bossing around Reacher, unknowingly invited his downfall. When Reacher felt that Duke was becoming a growing threat to his plans, he decided to take him out. Through a series of unexpected moves, Reacher cleverly removed Duke, played by Donald Sales, from his path to get closer to Zachary.

9. The Lead Townie

Played by Connor McMahon, this guy might not have a specific name or a bigger role in the series, but his appearance was surprisingly powerful. He seems to have a salty history with the Beck family as he went to school with Richard, Zachary's son. He claimed that it was because of Zachary Beck that his father was rendered unemployed and as a further consequence, their family had lost the shelter of a home.

In a messy turn of events, the townie tried to scare Richard and threaten him along with a group of other rowdy boys. However, Reacher, as always, comes into the scene with his commanding aura and tackles the situation like a pro. The townie and his gang did not see this coming.

10. Shane Langston

Working closely with AM, Shane Langston was a terrifying figure in the criminal network. He ensured that his orders were followed with precision and discipline. Langston was one of those villains who thought he could outsmart Reacher with his aggressive and shrewd tactics, but Reacher being the chaotic mastermind defeated him in his own game. In an intense confrontation, Langston, portrayed by Robert Patrick, found himself faltering before Reacher’s unmatched strategical prowess and physical strength. Soon he was begging for his life, but Reacher, without a care, dropped him from a moving helicopter. His oversmartness was one of the major causes of his downfall (quite literally).
