Bonnie Bennet is one of the most significant characters of The Vampire Diaries. Throughout the series, she has helped her friends and proven herself as one of the strongest witches. 1)Fighting with Klaus to save Elena

In Season 2 episode 21 of The Vampire Diaries when Klaus was performing the sacrificial spell and killed Elena to break the hybrid curse which prevented him from becoming a true hybrid, Bonnie almost killed him. Despite her powers being relatively new when compared to Klaus’s powers, Bonnie fought with all her strength to bring Klaus down. Fighting an original vampire was no easy task. However, Bonnie did not back down from helping her friend Elena.
If only Elijah had not come in the last moment and saved Klaus then Bonnie would have been able to kill Klaus easily. Elijah initially wanted to kill Klaus because of the extremes he had seen him go. However, when Klaus said that he did not put the bodies of their family members in the sea but kept them safely, Elijah became hesitant. This scene was one of the best moments when we see Bonnie showcasing her unwavering loyalty to her friends and saving the day.
2)Resurrecting Jeremy by connecting with the witches

In Season 2, when Jeremy is shot by Liz, he dies. Initially, Elena, Bonnie, and Damon think that the Gilbert ring will bring him back to life like it always does. However, Bonnie understands that the ring is not going to work, as the ring only protects when death occurs by supernatural means. Since Jeremy died because of the bullet, the ring does not work.
Bonnie does not give up and takes Jeremy’s body to the witches’ house and uses a spell to bring him back. When Bonnie uses her spell, the witches make her understand that they are angry with her and refuse to help. With Alaric’s insistence, Bonnie continues to use the spell and brings Jeremy back to life. Bonnie admits her love for Jeremy and saves the day once again. Throughout The Vampire Diaries, Bonnie has contributed immensely to the well-being of others.
3)Saving Matt from drowning

In Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries, when Matt finds out that Jeremy can see ghosts, he wants to do the same. He calls Bonnie and informs her of what he is going to do and asks her to help him. Matt drowns himself in the school pool and almost dies. However, Bonnie arrives right on time, performs CPR on him, and brings him back to safety. Bonnie’s bravery and willingness to help her friends make her one of the most compelling characters in the show.
Though Bonnie usually helps her friends during times of need using her magical powers, here her resourcefulness saves the day. She is not just a talented witch, but that is the only thing that defines her. Her bravery has been proved throughout the series.
4)Bonnie helps Stefan to save Damon from the fire

In Season 1 of The Vampire Diaries, when Mystic Falls was celebrating the Founder’s Day, all the tomb vampires decided to take revenge on the council members. After the council members got to know about this, John Gilbert decided to use the Gilbert device to neutralize the vampires and kill them. So when the fireworks started, John Gilbert used the device, and all the vampires in the town were paralyzed.
The deputies used vervain to neutralize the vampires, locked them in the basement, and set fire. Damon was also one of the vampires that got stuck in this. However, Bonnie saves him by helping Stefan. She used her magic to douse the fire. Even though she had negative feelings towards the vampires, she saved Damon. Bonnie’s strength and ability to control powerful magic solidified her as a force to be reckoned with.
5)Bonnie saves Mystic Falls with the help of the Bennet witches

When Vicki was planning to destroy the town of Mystic Falls in the last Season of The Vampire Diaries, Bonnie’s magic saved the day. Bonnie understood that she had the power to save the town from the fire. She called out for her Grams, asking her to help her through this spell.
As Bonnie uses the spell, we see her Grams accompany her, and other witches give her more strength to overcome the fire. She is finally able to contain the fire and saves the town from destruction. This scene showcases Bonnie’s immense power and gives a fitting ending to the character. Throughout the course of the series, Bonnie’s character has proven her loyalty and bravery, and this scene only adds to her character.
6)Bonnie saves the twins from the fire

Matt’s mother caused a gas leak in the house during Caroline and Stefan’s wedding. Bonnie and Calorine’s twin daughters were inside the house when a huge blast occurred. However, the twins siphoned Bonnie’s powers and saved them. This eventually led to Bonnie losing her connection with Enzo.
As Enzo says goodbye to Bonnie, she tells the girls to chant the spell with her so that they can escape the fire and go to safety. Even when Bonnie knew she would lose Enzo, she did not want to let the girls be in any danger. She consistently puts herself in harm's way throughout The Vampire Diaries but never fails to save the day.
7)Bonnie resurrects the dead from the other side

In Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries, when Bonnie wanted to bring back her friends from the other side, despite the hurdles in her way, she was successful. She brought back Enzo, Tyler, Alaric, Stefan, and Elena from the other side. However, she was not able to bring back Damon.
Though Stefan wanted to stay back and find Damon, the spell would not work longer. When Bonnie coughed up blood because of the toll from the spell Stefan accidentally grabbed her and came back from the Other side. Even when Bonnie knew that she was struggling to keep up with the spell, she wanted Lexi to cross, but Lexi refused. Lexi knew that each time someone passed from the other side through Bonnie, she would get closer and closer to death.
8)Bonnie makes a sun ring for Caroline

When Caroline was turned into a vampire after Katherine killed her with vampire blood still in her system, she was struggling. She was hardly able to control her hunger and ended up killing a man. However, with training from Stefan, she was able to control herself slowly. But there was still an issue.
As a vampire, Caroline was not able to go out in the sun. She did not have any protection, unlike Stefan and Damon, which allowed them to be able to be in the sun. To help Caroline, Bonnie made her a ring that would help her go out in the sun. Despite her hatred towards the vampires, Bonnie did not want her friend to suffer. Her love and loyalty to Caroline and Elena throughout The Vampire Diaries.
9)Sacrificed herself to send Damon home

In Season 6, episode 5 of The Vampire Diaries, as we see Bonnie, Kai, and Damon prepare for the spell so that they can return, Kai starts to drain Bonnie’s magic. However, Bonnie uses an ax and kills him. As Bonnie and Damon prepare for the eclipse to cast the spell, Kai shoots an arrow at Bonnie, injuring her. This leads Damon to fight with Kai. Bonnie understands the situation and uses her magic to separate the two of them and shoves Damon towards the light of the eclipse.
She throws the Ascendant to him, which allows him to go back, sacrificing her only chance to return. Despite Bonnie’s initial dislike towards Damon, their relationship grew throughout the series. She does not back down from putting others before herself and helps Damon.
10)Banishing Kai to the prison world

In Season 8, episode 18 of The Vampire Diaries, we see Kai breaking Caroline’s neck to find her twins, as they are the last members of the Gemini Coven. He seemingly finds them, but it was a trick played by Alaric, and eventually, Caroline comes and snaps Kai’s neck. Kai struggles to get rid of the chains that are tied to him when he wakes up.
Bonnie has banished Kai into a prison world with the help of Caroline’s twins. This is one of the most memorable scenes of The Vampire Diaries as we see Kai getting the punishment he deserves after tormenting so many. Bonnie has suffered a lot because of Kai; finally being able to banish him is a powerful ending.
