Matthew McConaughey plays the titular role of Mickey Haller in the film, who works in a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Town Car and solves high-profile cases.
The movie follows the events after a wealthy Los Angeles businesswoman hires Haller to defend his son in an assault case. While Haller works up the details of this case, he notices its similarities to one of his other parallel cases, and he soon realizes that both cases are intertwined.
5) How to Get Away With Murder
What happens when a theory class for a group of students turns real? A lot is on the line for them. The show stars Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, a criminal defense lawyer and a law professor at a school in Philadelphia.

This Netflix original show is based on the 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning article “An Unbelievable Story of Rape” and the subsequent 2018 book, A False Report. In 2008, Marie Adler was raped by a masked intruder in her apartment who had a birthmark on his left calf.
She is forced to retell and relive this horrific incident multiple times in court until the two male detectives assigned to her case decide that she is lying. She is bullied into retracting her statement, and the case is closed.
Three years later, detectives Grace Rasmussen (Toni Collette) and Karen Duvall (Merritt Wever) are working on a case of a serial rapist who has a birthmark on his left calf, and Adler’s case is reopened.
7) A Few Good Men
It is one of the classic legal thriller films based on Aaron Sorkin's 1989 play. Sorkin adapted it for a film directed by Rob Reiner and produced by Reiner, David Brown, and Andrew Scheinman.
The movie follows the court martial of two U.S. Marines. They are accused of the murder of their fellow Marine officer. The film is an investigation into this accusation, and their lawyers build up a case to prove their innocence. The popular 1986 series got its own gender-flipping reboot in 2024. Originally based on the character of Ben Matlock (Andy Griffith), a defense attorney, this popular legal drama returns on CBS on October 17.
The 2024 series follows a widowed ex-lawyer, Matlock, played by Kathy Bates, who takes up a job at the law firm Jacobson & Moore to raise her grandson and earn some money. But it is soon revealed that she might be harboring her secrets and is a woman on a mission at the filmmaking the suspenseful atmosphere.
