Jeffery Williams, also known as Young Thug recently made waves on social media after he dropped a now-deleted surprising post on X (formerly Twitter). On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Young Thug posted an old picture of an attorney, Marissa Viverito, and captioned it:
''Biggest liar in the DA office."
Marissa was the lead investigator and was also considered a gang expert in the YSL (Young Stoner Life Records) RICO trial that involved Young Thug and other individuals who were associated with YSL.
The case was centered around the fact that the label, YSL, founded by Young Thug in 2016, functioned as a criminal street gang and was involved in various criminal activities.
Possible reason why Young Thug called Marissa the ''biggest liar''
While the specific reason why Young Thug called Marissa a liar remains unknown, it could be because Marissa had a court appearance this week.
As per XXL, Marissa, a law enforcement official, was in court on March 31, 2025, to testify as a part of a preliminary hearing. The hearing involved seven men who were part of a gang called Goodfellas.
The men were accused of killing two boys, both thirteen years old, in Atlanta in 2024. This case also involved Dominique Armani Jones, also known as Lil Baby. According to the Atlanta police, Lil Baby has been in a long-term feud with the Goodfellas subset gang, Only My Family (OMF).
The police claim that Lil Baby filmed a music video in the OMF gang's area, which led to tension between the two parties, which also involved the killing of the two boys. However, Lil Baby's lawyer denied the claims and called it nonsense.
Marissa's role in Young Thug's case
Young Thug was indicted back in May 2022, and prosecutors alleged that his label, YSL, stood for Young Slim Life and was involved in criminal activities such as possessing illegal firearms, drugs and violent crimes.
In this case, the prosecution used Young's rap lyrics as evidence, arguing that they show involvement in criminal activities. In October 2024, Thug pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including drug offenses and firearm possession, and is now serving 15 years on probation.
In November, Marissa supported the prosecution and testified as the state's final witness. She presented evidence such as social media activities and text messages to prove YSL's involvement as a criminal street gang.
