Markies Deandre Conway, popularly known as Yella Beezy, is an American rapper who was raised in Dallas, Texas. The rapper is famous for his 2017 single, That's In Me, which was certified gold by the RIAA and entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Yella Beezy was arrested earlier this month for his alleged orchestration of the popular rapper MO3 murder, which happened on November 11, 2020. The arrest happened after a Dallas County jury indicted the rapper on Thursday, March 20, 2025, charging him with capital murder while remuneration.

Yella Beezy faced a judge on Wednesday, March 26, for a bond reduction hearing. Ultimately, the judge reduced the bond payment from $2 million to $750,000 after listening to testimonies from Beezy's relatives, who claimed that he couldn't afford the bond amount.

More details of Yella Beezy's arrest and alleged crime

Yella Beezy and MO3 were both representatives of the city's Oak Cliff neighborhood and stars who came into prominence in the mid-2010s. Both rappers exchanged numerous social media shots at one another, even throwing jabs at each other in their music, but their beef seemed to escalate after MO3's friend, comedian Roylee Pate, was murdered in North Dallas in 2018. The day after the comedian was killed, Yella was targeted in a drive-by shooting in Lewisville, Texas, leading to speculations about the incident being a retaliation for Roylee's murder.

Yella Beezy and MO3 both downplayed their alleged beef. In a 2019 interview, MO3 stated that he didn't have any real friction with the rapper Yella Beezy, and in July of the same year, Beezy claimed he didn't even know who MO3 was.

"I don't know him. I know everybody from my city making noise."

Fast forward to February 2020, Yella had an altercation with MO3's manager, Brandon Rainwater. M03 took to his social media to call out Beezy for launching an attack against Rainwater.

That same year, on November 11, MO3 was driving northbound on I-35E near Illinois Avenue and Clarendon Drive, just south of the Dallas Zoo, when he was stopped by a black Chevrolet Camaro. The driver of the car (later identified as Kewon Dontrell White) approached MO3's vehicle, wearing a black ski mask and holding a rifle. MO3 fled his vehicle and began running down the interstate when White opened fire, shooting him in the back multiple times. MO3 was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Kewon White is currently serving a nine-year sentence on gun charges and in connection to the shooting, while Devin Maurice Brown was indicted on April 24, 2021, for allegedly helping in orchestrating the murder.
